Game info:

Aliens vs. Predator is an entirely new title for PC and high-definition consoles from acclaimed British developer Rebellion, the team behind the 1999 original PC gaming classic.

Bringing the legendary war between two of science-fiction’s most popular characters to FPS fans, AvP delivers three outstanding single player campaigns and provides untold hours of unique 3-way multiplayer gaming.

Experience distinctly new and thrilling first person gameplay as you survive, hunt and prey in the deadly jungles and swamps surrounding the damned colony of Freya’s Prospect.

- As the Marine, you’ll experience a claustrophobic and terrifying experience where light is your friend, but there’s never enough. However, the United States Marine Corps are humanity’s last line of defence, and as such they are armed to the teeth with the very latest in high explosive and automatic weaponry.

- As the Predator, you will stalk from the shadows and from above, passing athletically through the treetops to ambush your victims. Although equipped with an array of powerful, exotic weapons and tracking equipment, honour ultimately dictates that you must get in close and take your trophies face to face.

- As the most deadly species in the universe, the Alien offers you the chance to play as the very stuff of nightmares - the monster in the dark swarming forward with countless others, jaws like a steel trap and claws like blades.

- Play all sides off against each other in a series of unique 3-way online modes and go tooth-to-claw-to-pulse rifle in the reinvention of one of multiplayer gaming’s defining moments.

So the game is due out 19th February 2010, who else is looking forward to this?

I loved the first one on the PC back in '99 and I cannot wait to get this.

Can't wait to play as the Marine. *blip* *blip blip* *blip blip blip* :D

I forgot about the alien headbites. They were great. I loved how in the SP game the workers would be shaking in front of you scared witless. :D

This game does look good but from what I've seen it's not a MASSIVE step forward from the originals I played and enjoyed years ago, also the sound samples on the marines gun's I've heard in trailers seem to be from the original game.

Stu

You weren't seriously expecting them to change the sounds of the guns were you? I mean, they are the sounds from the films..........hence why they are the same from the game that was made in '99.

Really? I hope the MP doesn't fall over on map design, it had the promise of offering some awesome gaming moments.

I will give it a try tonight and take it from there.

Played a quick game as the marine last night, and really didn't enjoy it. The marine on deathmatch is so under powered against the Predator and Aliens it's untrue. I suspect that the other game modes are what will draw me in.

I still have high hopes for single player and also other modes.

Well having tried the PS3 demo this morning, I think I shall be buying it on the PS3, just seems to work better and look lighter than the 360 version.

Maybe it's the mental block of the MW2 controls on the 360 ruining my enjoyment of it, but I got on much better with the PS3 version.

Whilst I was really looking forward to this, that IGN review has lowered my excitement somewhat. I might even get Heavy Rain instead now, and then once that is completed trade that in and get AvP.

:(

You are right about Condemned 2, I stopped playing after the first level/half way through the second. Something just didn't seem right.

Bioshock 2 just isn't scary (well I seem to remember the first being more scary?). I really am dragging my way through that now.

I loved Dead Space though! Scary and a good game.

Just awaiting AVP, hope it arrives today. (HE)

?Is Condemned 2 a rubbish game? Is that what you are saying?
