Yeah, but their feeling is that he shouldn't have been.

If so that's two huge decisions that the third umpire has got wrong. One for an Englishman that shouldn't have been out, one for a debutant that should've been out on 6.

The third umpire shouldn't be making mistakes.

I think the umpire was wrong to overturn the decision on Trott. With the absent images that could have cleared him they should have given him the benefit of the doubt. The stumping is rather more marginal, I think it was out, but I think we should stick to the age-old 'batsman gets the benefit of the doubt'.

Pietersen and Cook are batting confidently under a nice clear sky. They can take their time to build a solid partnership. Probably 70+ each.

Both dangermen out, KP and Cook. This is not looking very good for England, need to have some sort of partnership to build a decent lead for the Aussies to chase and give the English bowlers a chance to defend.

Fancy seeing you back in a cricket thread when England show some sign of wobbling :p

Fancy you not noticing that I first posted in this thread when Australia was wobbling:

Have to say I'm deeply concerned by the holes in our batting lineup. I think England will post a nice fat score and knock us out for around half their total in the second innings.

I still think England will take this.

After Root and Trott failed we were always in trouble, this is just the icing.

To be fair, the way this match has gone a lead of 150 won't be horrible. Which was the test in 2005 where we needed to knock off about 120 in a day, and Warne nearly skittled us?

I think if England can reach 200 runs ahead they will win this. The way the ball is swinging Jimmy Anderson will maul the Aussie batting order
