*****Official Ashes thread*****

Can see England making a big score especially if Cook stays and KP gets into gear and goes onto make a big score.

Aussie bowlers just arent that good in all honesty...still expect England to probably win this or end up with a draw therefore hanging onto the Ashes.

Down to Bell and KP now to make a huge partnership, if they both fail then i cant see England getting close to the 500 odd runs they need to get close to the Aussies.

We just need to bat for as long as possible and avoid the follow on, I don't think they'll have the time to beat us if we manage to avoid the follow on (unless we collapse).

There's no patience with this England team, with the exception of Bell and perhaps Cook they are far to eager to quickly rack runs up rather than letting the runs come to them. I don't think we have got to 100 yet in the entire series so far without losing at least 3 wickets. Its not so bad when we win the toss and Anderson and company can get some movement but on a wicket that is essentially concrete we are struggling to hold out. Someone needed to remind them we don't need to chase this, Australia needs to but we don't.

Pitch is offering nothing for the bowlers, other than playing silly shots both Aussies and England...not many wickets are going to fall i fear.

Reckon it will be a draw unless the Aussies somehow bowl England out in the next few hrs and the Ashes stay in England:p.

This is all about avoiding the follow on. If we can avoid it, it presents Clarke with a real headache decision to be made.
