Gives the bowlers a rest and gives the aussies a mountain to climb.

Could easily have a lead of 500+ by this time tomorrow.

Yep, no brainer. Try and play a few of the top order in to form(they all need it tbh) without much pressure, rest the bowlers, try and bat Australia out of the game . Saying it is cowardly not to enforce the follow-on in this scenario is totally ridiculous, if anything the opposite would be true.

Just got back from hospital, technicians where great they put the cricket on via the headphones whilst I had my MRI hehe.

Dont panic. I genuinely think a 180-200 innings will be enough here.

Can't for the life of me see Aus chasing down a 400 deficit.

On current form, not a chance in hell. Knock up 200 runs then get the Aussies in to bat and watch them collapse when chasing down Englands total:p

Can't believe we didn't enforce the follow on. Bad decision.

Regardless of what the "experts" say, it's a bowlers wicket. You have Aus batting horrifically but to top it off you then switch the onus and pressure back onto yourselves and give Aus a clear target to aim for or the ability to bed

Only thing worse than that decision is England's top order, a shambolic disgrace.

People who think we should have followed on - what are the possible outcomes?

We need a total disaster to lose this test match from this position. To win, we just need a decent bowling performance. Making them following on opens up the opportunity for the other team to win, which makes no sense with 3 days remaining.

Spectacular collapse by Australia. Amazing scenes!

Nice to see England 3 down, but the sad reality is that they only need 100 extra runs to put this game completely beyond us. Probably not even that.
