If I have this card connected to my monitor via the dvi port, am I still able to have the hdmi port connected to my amp and get audio over the hdmi, or does the dvi over ride the hdmi input?

If I wanted to use an amp for 7.1 couldnt an HDMI to the monitor (or TV say) and then connect from the TV to the amp? Or is there no such facility?

Or the other way round? I.e. HDMI to amp and then amp to TV? Or doesnt the amp carry video signal?

I've got mine connected to my Onkyo 606 HDMI to the amp then to the TV.

Hi, did that and there was no screen corruption, I have RMA'd the card...

But what i ment was, i would have the card connected to my PC monitor via the DVI, and then i would have a HDMI cable going from the card to my AMP. But would i get sound from the HDMI port, when i have a DVI cable also connected to the card, for instance if i was browsing the net on my PC (using my PC monitor) and wanted to listen to itunes on my pc but have it out put audio to my AMP (via the HDMI cable) at the same time, is that possible?

3.2 Ghz x4 Am3
4 Gig Crosshair
650w Psu
1 TB samsung Spin Point
and a 24" 1920x1080 IIyama Monitor,

could some one give me some settings for the Card please or send me a Default Profile
as im not sure what all the settings are ?
I want to play MW2 and just want good quality and performance

Just leave it as is settings wise (in the ATi CCC) I'd unlock ATi Overdrive so it gives you a bit more speed.

Then set everything to Max on MW2, if the game feels sluggish lower some of the settings in Game

looking at these results you lot are showing how many are running an amd cpu ? , seems the later intel cpu's are the best for benching yes ? . but how better are they compaired to the fastest phenom II's ? , so you need a fast cpu to get the best out of these gfx cards ? , i was told dont be stupid at guru3d's forum but then i said why do all the reviewers use the fastest intel cpu's overclocked instead of the fastest phenom's ? . some of these results put my cf 5770's score to shame lol
