What version cooler does your 5770 have? Does seem high, most top out at low/mid 60's under load.

Which Lancool case? If it's the K62 it's identical to my Lian Li PC-P50B apart from mine is aluminium and yours is steel so your temps seem rather high. My temps are 35-37 degrees idle and 62 degrees max load using Furmark stability test. This is with the "egg" cooler though.

Lancool K58, its idle is around 45-50 and under load with furmark it went right up to 86c,
im a bit worried that the card may be faulty, games seem to play ok though :|

Its fine, my cards sometimes hit the 80oc mark when playing games :)

Hi chaps. Just finished building my new rig and have an HIS 5770.

I see there is a lot of debate about the drivers. Which ones should I get as have only booted up the one that came on the disc?

Need it to be safe for gaming as I can see some peeps have issues.

Use catalyst 9.12 or the 9.12 hotfix. I had some problems with the hotfix drivers so went back to 9.12. The 10.1's will be available very soon.

Hey guys! What sort of WEI score should I be getting for my 5770? I'm running the 9.12 drivers, and I haven't touched any settings yet. I've just reinstalled Windows, installed the drivers, rebooted, and run the test, getting 6.0. I'm sure it was significantly higher than that after my last install (which was using 9.11), although it may be my memory! Does that score sound about right, or...? Thanks! :)

I get 7.4 for graphics...using 9.12 drivers.

WEI is relative to the screen you are running on too.
Dont just compare yours to others without finding out what res they are running too.

Update on my 6.0: I installed important Windows updates, and my previous score has returned. I now have 7.4 for both graphics scores, and 7.3 overall (determined by my SSD). :) (CPU and RAM are both 7.7.)

I downloaded the latest Intel P55 drivers from here:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Chipsets&ProductLine=Chipset+Software&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+Chipset+Software+Installation+Utility

And then ran the chipset installer using -OVERALL switch in the run dialog like so:

Once you've done that, most of the devices in device manager whose name starts "Intel(R)" should be using the Intel driver.

Hope this is helpful!

Tried this on my P45 to get around the same vertical line lock (happens in any game after a couple of minutes). It only installed SATA drivers and everything else IntelR is still on 2006 drivers. Didn't fix the lock either :(

Basically I have a useless 5770 :( (BTW this has occurred on all drivers since 9.10)
