Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham City will take 20-24 hours for a normal player to finish, marketing manager Dax Ginn has told GamerZines.

"Our QA guys can straight-line it - so not doing any of the side missions and just sticking to the core narrative path - in about 8 hours," Ginn said. "If you're exploring and trying new things, obviously that adds a lot to the experience and the game time. I would say for a normal player who knows their action adventure games, between 20-24 hours."

Worried that this could be second album like for Rocksteady - everything in their favour which is never a good thing :p

Seriously? Troll? I really cba to rise to that so I will try to be civilized. If you don't understand why a game like this deserves merit then you should go find a new hobby. Casually the game may at first appear as you suggest but go back and crank it up a bit maybe, go for the trophies and the challenges. Immerse yourself in it. It really is worth your time. Then if you still don't get it fair enough but it deserves better than your throw-away comments.

Moving on...

Asylum was absolute class and I cannot wait for this. Not watching the trailers though :)

I want I want I want I want I want I want.

Did I mention I want it :).

I tried the first one on a whim and loved it one of the few games that have kept me hooked from start to finish in a while.

I wish It was coming out in july and not oct though :\

Really? You're calling them a troll because their opinion of the game is negative in your opinion? Really? Do you know what troll actually means? I think it's a really good game, but I wouldn't call some one a troll for not thinking the same. Seriously.

Nah you're right it isn't that bad. I'm not as drunk now as I was then...seemed a little provocative to me at the time! So, soz for the first part C64 but I still stand by the second half of the paragraph :)

Batman: Arkham City is to feature Catwoman as a playable character, a report has confirmed.

According to IGN, Warner Interactive and Rocksteady Games has showcased footage of gameplay segments focusing on the feline anti-heroine.

The website went on to say that the character will play an integral part in the story campaign as the focal point will shift between her and Batman. Catwoman's movement was described as "nimble and graceful", and it was noted that players will apparently be awarded points based on how they move through the city.

A secondary vision mode akin to the Dark Knight's Detective Mode will help players to pinpoint useful objects, while Catwoman's whip can be used to traverse the environment, as well as during combat situations.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Penguin will feature as one of Arkham City's villains. Other antagonists include Two-Face, Mr Freeze, Talia al Ghul and Hugo Strange.

Batman: Arkham City will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 18 in North America, and October 21 in Europe.

Should add some variety to the play, I expect we'll see plenty more at e3

EDIT: new vid

Batman: Arkham City will feature Robin as a playable character, it has been revealed.

The sidekick will only be available in two unique challenge maps and will not join Batman in the main campaign, according to Game Informer.

The maps will be available as a Batman: Arkham City pre-order incentive from US retailer Best Buy, but is assumed to be available in Europe and as post-release downloadable content.

Two-face, Mr Freeze and Penguin have been previously confirmed as characters in the Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel.

Batman: Arkham City's campaign has been teased to last eight hours, and will feature Catwoman as a playable character.

Batman: Arkham City will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC from October 18 in North America and October 21 in Europe.

I never bothered with the challenge maps with the first so never played as Joker, glad that they're limiting Robin to DLC though rather than making him part of the SP experience, catwomen fair enough but introduce too many other playable characters would ruin the experience IMO
