Battlefield 5 is currently penciled in to release towards the end of 2016 but we are already starting to hear some details about the game. For example, it turns out that the upcoming title will bring the series back to its military roots, taking a step away from Battlefield Hardline’s approach, which features cops VS robbers.

Speaking at the UBS Global Technology Conference this week, EA CFO, Blake Jorgensen, said that Battlefield 5 is shaping up to be a “fun, new Battlefield”, we will also see a “return to a Battlefield, military style game; more to come on that”.

Battlefield Hardline will come out at the beginning of next year, EA has previously stated that Battlefield 5 has been pushed back until holiday 2016 in order to give players more time to play Visceral Game’s upcoming take on the series as well as the recently fixed Battlefield 4, which had a very troubled launch last year.

Dont know about you but after BF4, there is no chance I'm buying this!!

I'll definitely get it. I turned up late to the bf4 party.

Hopefully they've learnt their lesson from bf4 release.

Isn't it being made by a new company this time?

Completely regret buying BF4. I did get some fun out of it before allt he DLC hit.

I'm with you on that one. I uninstalled it and been back into BF3 for a while now. Best thing to do in this situation is wait for AMD to release new GPUs and grab one dead cheap or on a giveaway!

Is that really a risk you want to take?

Won't preorder and I def. am not getting premium, just like bf 3 premium, bf 4 premium was pointless, only worth it for the guns and CTE.

I am far more excited for battlefront tbph and if battlefront is any good, I may not even bother with BF 5....

I dont think BF3 Premium was that bad TBH. Still enjoying it now but my choice of maps leave a lot to he desired.

Battlefield and CoD are all about the multiplayer now. I bought BF4 and the campaign was a little dull albeit it looked stunning.

As for multiplayer, I seem to be in an overwhelming minority but I hate it. Just not for me really so I doubt I'll ever buy a BF or CoD game again.

Although I am enjoying BF4 now, it took nearly a year to get there.

No way I will buy this game at launch, actually don't think I will buy at all.

With Star Wars Battlefront etc there is no way I will have enough time for ranking up.

Well bf4 has been painful at times and was in a state of beta for far too long (its just about finished now....), but overall I can't say I haven't had my moneys worth.

Do wish they would stop with all the 100's of attachments/assignments ect, but that won't happen :(

Its still the best game of its type for me but sadly that may be down to poor alternatives as there is no doubt that it could have been so much better.

Also BFHardline can do one.

BF5, will wait and see what else is available and if the people I game with play it and that makes the difference.

I think that will make the final decision if people here play it.

Before I joined the OCUK platoon I'd only ever played solo. It's a damn sight more fun playing with the group. So if they don't buy it I doubt I will.

After the last one, it'll pay to wait for the pawns to get it first! ;)

Will buy it. Anybody saying they regret BF4 but has sank more than 50 hours into it is talking rubbish.

Love BF4, never had many problems with it over nearly 400 hours and the last map pack is brillant, will be buying BF5 and the expansions. Not so sure about Hardline but already sold on BF5.
