So it's official, Battlefield: Hardline, full unveil at E3.

So reading around twitter it seems Visceral games have shown the next Battlefield game to some of the press recently.

There is another rumour that it could be called Battlefield: S.W.A.T!

Now if that's true it could be amazing! I would love a police themed battlefield game.

Going to be unveiled at E3, roll on June!

For me BF4 lacked the excitement of BF BC2 and BF2, and indeed the original BF Vietnam. Just seemed somewhat disconnected somehow from the gameplay.

Hopefully this new one will sort the issues of BF4 and bring back that 'feel'.
 
Hopefully it ****ing tanks, cant see me buying another BF game now unless they prove they can actually make the game properly and people who buy it first rave about, seeing as all YT and blogs are bought and paid for.
 
A Police/SWAT based game would be great but I can't see it working as a Battlefield game unless they're going to make the maps small and tight which will ruin it.

Not to mention the simple fact that they've got a LOT of work to do in rebuilding trust in the Battlefield brand after the hell BF4 has been through.
 
Seems like it could focus more on smaller squad based objective modes so I may be interested in that.
Still not sure how they can convince anyone to pay them money again though but there will always be the diehards - my mate even admitted just now he would buy it regardless even though he shouldn't.

No harm in seeing what they do with it though so i'll look out for some solid news

I deliberately bought BF4 second-hand for that reason; after the state it was released in I wasn't going to buy it at all but my friend already had it and we needed something to play together online. He wants me to get Premium now though so I fear they'll be getting some of my money regardless. :o

Well they are half way there as DiCE are not involved.
 
Although Visceral are working on this game, a lot of the team that made Dead Space Left the company and are now Sledgehammer games working on this years COD. So it could just be like when IW split up and all the best talent left to form Respawn.
 
Battlefield 1942 remake would be greeted with euphoria surely, anyone think a police battlefield would just be like an operation metrofield?

Battlefield Vietnam on the pc is still my favourite.

Nothing beats getting a lift or flying a chopper with Creedence playing on the radio.

i kind of wish they would bring the vehicle radio back its awesome, playing ride of the valkyries in a huey while team mates fire from the side guns is just amazing lol
 
WHAT???? BF4 is a total disaster and they are still running CTE (beta?) and they announce this?? It will be a COD rip and as bad as BF4. No thanks, sticking to BF3.
