What’s Battlefield Heroes?
Battlefield Heroes is a new cartoon-style Battlefield game that’s completely free to play. This ‘Play 4 Free’ type of game is new to EA so we’re excited to be leading the charge! It’s going to be available this summer and we’ve worked hard to make the game appeal to both our core fans as well as people new to Battlefield. It’s easy for anyone to pick up and play because of the intuitive controls, fun cartoon art style, and community features, but at the same time there’s real depth and strategy for people like us who are passionate about gaming...

This looks to be a massive hit, pictures and reviews are starting to be released for a summer release... Can't wait :D

Looks like a rubbish, kiddified consolified myspaceified (I may be making up words now) nightmare of a game that'll packed for of junk to buy.

Looks very cool imo, TF2 but with vehicles and in ww2 era :D.
MacDonalds ads?? I hope so, I love McD. :D
There will be people that will remove the adds don't worry, if they can crack the toughest copy protection somebody will hack out the ads in no time.

I dont even understand why adverts bother people so much. I mean if it was a fake advert no one would mind but because its a real product people are bothered.

Anyway, I like the looks, TF2 has awesome graphics and this looks like itll be just the same, but with Battlefield stuff. I hope it takes of like Enemy Territory did.

Latest Update from EA: Heroes will give players more health, less-damaging weapons, and shorter respawn times over past Battlefield titles. Apparently the action will occur from a third-person perspective, with the site writing that a first-person view can be eventually obtained "if really wanted," though it is currently unclear if that means the perspective is an earned option, a purchasable feature, or may be added in a patch.

A point system will allow players to buy in-game items and abilities, with the earned sum based on the performance of a player's chosen faction. Abilities are said to play a more integral role due to the title's emphasis on longer battles. Appearance-altering items include badges, helmets, belts, and boots.

Three classes have been revealed thus far: the standard soldier, the fast-moving commando, and the heavily-armed gunner. In all, the game may feature about 15 abilities at launch, with the possibility of that number going up to 50 within the first year.

Other changes and tweaks to the Battlefield formula will have vehicles appearing immediately when players reach a spawn point, a number of taunt and body language options, and a detailed feedback system to help players buy new abilities and set up their characters before the match begins.

it is kind of annoying at how much they have blatently tried to copy the artistic style of team fortress 2.

I know its free, and low spec, which is always nice, but it does go to show how lazy EA can be at times.

TF2 is not the first game to have done this.

It's anoying when people like you have to go and say things like that, you should have had a quick search around first! :)

All games whatever there genre (FPS,Driving etc..) are all going to be similar in one way or another, for instance many FPS use the same graphics engine but there presentation or theme/style may be diffrent, at the end of the day its all about enjoying the experiance....
