*** Official Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Thread ***

I still haven't managed to get a key. Anyone feeling generous? :) I play 1.6 to this day which I still enjoy but the total lack of VAC updates doesn't make it as enjoyable as a few years ago.

Have never asked for a key and sadly never was chosen for the beta, but as it's almost out and now on pre order, would anyone be so kind, if they still have one? Would be nice to try it a week early :)

Going to pre-order as well.

I haven't looked at any videos only a few screenshots of dust and I thought "want - looks so good!" so hopefully will be a good surprise when I get to play the 'finished' product in real-time.!

I stopped playing Source soon after when they updated it with achievements so will be interesting to see what's different.

Anyone know/think if Valve will port this to Linux/Ubuntu?
 
Bit of a dilemma here guys, help me out without being un-biased :P

I want the game for PS3 and PC.

PS3: All my friends are on PS3, so playing on PS3 will be more enjoyable. Apart from that, I want to be involved in the competitive PS3 CS side of things.

PC: PC is superior for CS obviously. I'm sure there will be much more updates and stuff like that. Apart from that, there will be more community maps. It will 'never' die on PC, and on PC it prob will.

PC is a better experience, but PS3 has friends.

I was thinking get it on launch for PS3, and when Steam will inevitably have it on a 75% sale, I will grab the PC version then. Still, I doubt I can wait like 2 months without having it on PC. I doubt PS3 will have any sort of sale either.

Plus, it has a 10% off! its less than 10 euros for me!! :D

Or I will buy them both on release date......
 
Guys how is this compared to CS:S? I've been playing CS:S casually for years and i've heard mixed things about this game, is there like a trail available so I can go and try it out?
