Official Crysis Demo thread

Dammit.
I have tomorrow off & I have to wait till 7pm for the demo... Then have to wait for it to download!! :(
Hope it's out on newsgroups... maxing out connection for the win :D
 
Its released at 7pm? Near sure i read a post in one of the crysis threads saying 9am our time. :confused:

be very suprised if it was 9am, rarely if ever do demo release times suit us exclusively.
 
thought the pre-order guys get it 24 hours early. hasnt anybody been notified of the date/time they can download the demo ?

no one... If you pre-order now, you'll get an email saying that the demo is out the 26 :( so no one know for sure if the pre-order guys are getting the demo today or like the rest of the mortals tomorrow... :rolleyes: EA :rolleyes:
 
on the crysisdemo.com countdown thing it says "Waiting for tuning", whats the luck it starts counting down with 5 days or something....

is it set in concrete that 2moro is the demo release day?

Crytek said it is tomorrow, so i dont think we can get anything more official.
 
does any1 know if the crysis special edition will be limited? Currently my machine cant run crysis, and i dont expect to be able to have a machine that will untill jan next year when the new intel cpus come out. I need to know if its ok for me to wait untill then to buy a special edition copy of crysis, or is there only a limited ammount of them being made and thus selling out realy fast?

I have never actually seen a "Limited Edition" game run out. I mean are they actually 'limited'? Do they only make a certain amount? Cause some fairly old, but good games that have a limited edition version are still easy to get.

As an answer to your question, im sure there will be loads of Special Editions made to last a good while ;)
 
Limited Edition is just a scam to sale the game. People that love to collect buy into the limited edition scam. At the end of the day, you're buying the game no matter what package it comes in.
 
how is it a scam? you get charged a bit extra, and get extra stuff.

Personaly i only get limited editions of stuff im realy into, like i was one of the people that got the star wars galaxies collectors edition, and even though that cost me a fair bit extra, it was totaly worth it for what i got.

Most limited edition stuff doesnt come anywhere close to the quality of the SWG collectors edition, but i still enjoy the extra stuff i get.
 
Over at crysis forums there are a lot of members that bought from EA so they could get the demo early. Not one member has got the demo early. Damn rotten EA!!
