Official D850 battery grip

Can anybody tell me if a third party battery grip will still provide the extra 2fps on the D850. I don't have a clue.

Long reply, but according to Ken Rockwell, yes, they do. You may need the fancy D5 battery but my old D800 got the higher FPS on AA's. Not tried with my D850.

I've been reading about this. You can use a number of different grips with the D5 battery but every time I bookmark with view to going back and buying later, they are out of stock. The genuine grip isn't always the best either.

I'll take a chance on the Meike which is available for the D850. When I get it I'll put a En-EL18 in it. I have used a Meike grip on a D750 without issues and am quite happy with it.
