*** Official DCS World Thread ***

To be fair, it could not be any other way. ED can't say "if 3rd party pulls support we will pick it up ourselves". You can't expect ED to develop the Hawk, the Harrier and so on - it's is not their area of expertise, not their code. Even with the maps, the code structure is likely sufficiently different. Thus is it left to the market to decide on the credibility of each of the 3rd party offerings...

Yeah but my point was ED contracted Ugra to make Normandy for ED (not the normal 3rd party developer type deal)
ED were getting a lot of flak about Normandy quite rightly so about how poor it is, so then the Ugra sub forum gets created

Yeah saw a couple of reviews of it and will definitely give it a pass for a year or so.

Any recommendations for DLC? I see the mig 19 is looking pretty reasonable, only other one I really want is the f14 but that's still full price.

It depends on what your thing is, Air to Air , Air to Ground, helis ?

Ok thanks nice!!
Although im still struggling even with the advice and notching, if i notch do i need to hold that position for atleast 2-5 seconds before i make another notch?

HOTAS info please

I been looking at a Logitech/Saitek x56 HOTAS however i do have a CH pro throttle and Microsoft force feedback 2 joystick. They both work ok but would like to have some opinions please

Thanks everyone
I have owned the previous iteration X-55, first unit was faulty out of the box and was returned, the second unit worked ok for a couple of years before developing faults, it is an ok device, got a decent amount of functions for a cheap price, best of luck
