Yeah does suck on that note if anyone did grab it in the sale and wanted a few games of coop then feel free to add as ill be happy to start a new char with you

Because its not steams decision? Most publishers don't allow duplicate copies to be gifted. Valve do and indie devs tend to, most others don't. There have been instances of big names allowing duplicate copies to be passed on such as Bioshock 2 where they gave you a free copy of Bioshock 1 that you could gift but for the most part, no.
 
Hi all, im wondering if anyone can help.

I was around level 35 with around 60k in cash, lots of items, vv good weapons with all the good stuff.

I joined a friends game, and when i entered, my level had dropped to 28, and i had lost all of my money weapons, items. everything i have collected!!! skills were reset.

yesterday it was fine, so was today, but as soon as i joined the coop game is where i lost everything. i quit and reloaded my game, but it was still the same.

so no i am quite far into the game, with a low level, no weapons, money, mods for weapns, any no items at all!!

is there anyway of getting this back?

Oh dear, looking at youtube vids it just looks like Dead Island 1.5 not a sequel. I wonder if they have cured the shocking player movement lag from the first game?
 
Dead island gty steam windows 8 prob

Anyone had a problem with dead island goty on steam? Just launches then nothing, task maneger says its running.

Tried the fix most people suggest of changing the .ini setting locale en and reinstalled dix9 but still no joy.

All drivers and is up to date, win8 64bit, hd7950

Purchased Dead Island 1 a few days ago but it always crashes about 5 minutes into the game. Validating it through steam always says "1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired" but nothing happens.

Tryed googling it but nothing seems to show up, anyone else have this issue?
