*** Official Dead Rising 2 Thread***

Im the same apart from any type of blur i leave off as it just annoys me never been a fan of blur effects at all.

its quite rubbish if that turns out to be the problem for you guys with FPS problems shouldn't cause this much drop really.

I'm having frame rate problems too. It is related to the zombies on screen I think. I have everything max bar AA( i think it's called something else?)

Running it on a 260 i7 920 with 3gig ddr 3

Terrible performance hear, was really looking forward to playing this today.

In the first section, after exiting the elevator I am seeing 19 FPS.

My rig; 965BE @ 3.8GHZ, 4GB DDR3 and Crossfire 5870's.

Hopefully there will be a patch of some kind, disappointing considering the quality of Capcoms other recent ports.

Not a game breaker for me though, I've had to start again after not leaving enough time to find some Zombrex :p

hmm now i dont know about fps (as i find they distract from a games true performance), but it plays perfect for my all setting high expect blur and aa (i have x4) at 1920x1080. My rig q6600 at 3.1 ghz, 4GB DDR" and 8800 gts 512 (windows 7 pro x64). Now I've just starting and killed that dude and his god damn tiger but it plays flawlessly

Hmm, not sure why everyone's getting bad performance, maybe an issue with ATi drivers?

Not really had any issues with framerate, runs sweet.

i7 920 @ 4ghz
6gb DDR3 dominator @ 1600mhz
1gb 460 GTX
Custom w/c ofc :p

Running at 1920x1200 too, 4x AA, vsync on, high detail.

Upgraded my drivers and it seems to run better now. Just need to watch those timers on the missions! I managed to die last night, I saved two NPCs with guns, I ran into their crossfire and, well. you know.

I've restarted 3 times now due to not leaving enough time for something, I didn't remember you have to finish some missions before the timer goes down, not just start them.

I was quite surprised to see how cheap it was. £18-20 for a top title is great stuff and kudos to capcom for releasing it on the PC.
I've got mine preordered at the to shop place, first time getting something from them. It said "processing" last I checked. Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong.

Nice getting a heads up on the wireless controller issue, I shall be prepared. Thanks.

I'm not sure whethrer to get this.
I enjoyed both Left4Dead games and all the zombies in Prototype, but I'm asking myself what makes this game much different, especially from L4D (that I only played single-player, by the way)?
I've read a number of reviews, and I would have expected a lot of comparisons to those games, but as they're hardly mentioned, I'm a bit suspicious.
