**Official Eternal Sonata Thread**

Go to a supermarket then :p.

:D Thats where living in down here is a big minus as none of the local stores have it in stock yet, we NEED an Asda so bad. ;)

I got it for £40.98 delivered :)
Think it was £34.99 at some retailers but I wanted to get it somewhere that could guarantee it to arrive on Friday.

If I see it at that price its mine. :D

I had an evening away from the 360 (because I fell asleep in front of the TV rather than any other reason) but now I've got an urge to play ES even though I really should sleep :o

My only concerns with it is it may end up too linear and possibly too easy, but it's hard to tell just yet. Also if it is both, I think I'll still enjoy it anyhow.

I actually died on the second boss but thats only because i had a lack of healing items, don't forget to refill your item slots after you use your healing items or it could bite you in the 'behind'. Fortunately all the bosses that i have faced so far have had a save point just before so if you did something like i did it isn't even frustrating.

An easy game isn't all bad, at least its not frustrating and it does allow you to enjoy the story more, plus i read that you can unlock a harder difficulty when you complete the game

I always forget to stock up on healing items :o After so many RPGs, you'd think I'd have learnt :p
I agree about an easy game not being all bad, if it's an enjoyable experience and a good story, I don't mind :)

Haven't had a chance to play it today, paperwork keeps getting in the way :(

Definitely :) Some of it just makes me stare in wonder at how pretty it can get.
Just reached Chapter 2, still no challenge really but i'm still completely entraced by it so I don't mind one bit :D

I've been playing for several hours now, not sure of the exact total but it's over 10. I'm on chapter 4 now, and i'm still not even slightly bored of this game. Me and a friend are co-oping the battles and it's great fun. I love the story so far, and the characters are really good, although Beat's voice is slightly annoying at times.

In my opinion, this is easily one of the best RPGs i've ever played, and definately the best J-RPG available on the 360.

Come on those of you playing give us your feed back.

I did :p
I'm in the middle of chapter 2 and still loving it. Not got bored yet although did get mildly infuriated at the Fort maze in Chapter 2 but cleared it now.

it's definitely shaping up to be my favourite RPG on the 360 and possibly one of my favourites on any console :)

I can't believe I was going to wait before buying this game. I dug through my cupboard and found a whole bundle of old games that I never play so yesterday I traded them at my local game shop. Wow this game is impressive; the story is very well told and the Japanese voice acting is excellent, far better than the American English. I am only on Chapter 2 but so far the story cut scenes are moving and captivating with poignant pauses silences - sort like watching an art house movie. Graphically this is one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen and it just shows you what good art can do. I wish more developers would take this approach.

Even if the combat was rubbish, which it is not, I would still love this game. Eternal Sonata may just turn out to be my sleeper hit for the year. I do not think it will do well compared to the big hyped titles because it is too much of a niche game.

downloaded the demo last night - it convinced me this is worth a purchase

I actually like the idea of not being forced into combat so the ability to run round encounters is a real draw as far as I'm concerned

it has such style that its actually like playing a japanese cartoon..very impressive

Eternal Sonata

Hi There.

Well. I've never been an RPG fan. But I downloaded the demo and thought it was great fun, and a big change :)

Anywho, does anyone have this game? what are your opinions etc? is it worth £40 price tag?

Many Thanks

Larnica
