For me it was when the Ferrari team tested their car and it was consistently fast at all the tracks. It was then difficult to bet against Alonso, who, for me, is the most complete driver currently in F1.

Hamilton is faster, though.

Come on JRS, I'm waiting for your prediction (1. Hamilton (2010 WDC);))

He is, but JRS is pretty clued up on F1 and making such a prediction (Button ahead of Hamilton) goes against what most clued up people think will happen in 2010.

Obviously, everybody knows that Alonso will win the 2010 championship, barring extraordinary circumstances. :p
 
I think that after what happened in 2007, this time around, Alonso has some form of agreement that he will be given preferential treatment.

Right now, Ferrari NEED Alonso and Alonso NEEDS Ferrari. Both parties need to make their relationship work and if that means giving preferential treatment, over Massa, then Ferrari will be only too happy to oblige.
 
I'm not so sure, Massa did well for Ferrari these past few years, it'd be a bit silly to annoy him (and lose him...) by giving preferential treatment to Alonso, but we'll see.

I think, assuming equal equipment, if Massa gets out of the blocks well and competes with/beats Alonso a bit at the start of the season he could beat him overall. However Alonso can, and will, try to break Massa, and Massa seems 'weak' enough to make that a very real possibility...

I'd just love to see Alonso being beaten, again :D
