i got the biggest idiot in the world today, he had an average team and he basically just hogged the ball, he never made a pass unless he knew for 100% certain he wouldnt lose possession, anyway i had at least 10 attempts at goal during the match even though i had 20% possession and he had 1 attempt at goal, i was very unlucky not to score.

extra time, same story, penalties (im crap at) he wins on like the 8/9th penalty.

he then sent me a message saying how pro he was and that he used his skills to beat my superior team and that i was a joke for having such good players and just running down the wings all the time and i should learn how to play the game, practice skills in the arena, etc.

so im not allowed to use my superior teams stats? i build my team for pace, so wtf am i supposed to just walk with them?

i was like wtf are you for real? i sent him a message back saying dude you just hogged the ball in your own half and never attacked, im pretty sure thats not how to play the game, since your such a superior player by using this gay tactic to take it into penalties knowing i would thrash you if you let me have the ball, to win the game, if he had any more gay tactics which he used to not play the game and hold out for a draw.

he then sent me like 100 messages about how he had broke me, etc and frustrated me. yeah its frustrating when im trying to play football and the other team wont attack me so i dont get a touch of the ball, guy was the biggest douche i had ever met.

seriously hate guys like this, play the game, so what if you get beaten, its better than wasting 20 minutes of your life doing the opposite of what the game was made for.

Yeah well at HT he was 3-0 up with 4 shots on goal and 3 on target compared to my 12-7. Managed to pull it back to 3-2 with 5 mintues back and he just passed round his defence so I went to ultra attack and he started to do kicks ups in the corner. Bent won the ball so he tried to foul me, advantage played and he curled it into the corner. Then just destroyed him in ET and he quit when the 5th goal went in. Sent him a message but he never replied haha
 
What do you guys think of Bundesliga/German teams? I played against a really good one last night and lost 4-2 (using my main La Liga team). It was a really close game, pretty even number of shots and possession, but his forwards were beasts in the air, he scored all his goals from crosses and headers, my 2 CBs just couldn't handle them. Started wondering whether to try a Bundesliga team, as I do like playing down the wings and getting crosses in, and there are certainly enough big strong STs in the German league.

Oh, and I bought Xavi for my La Liga team last night, CAM in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation (cost me around 57k, which I thought was quite cheap). I'm not sure I like him much yet. His passes are great but he's quite slow and his shots aren't as good as I like. I think for my playing style, using the CAM as a 3rd forward and trying to score from range, Kaka fits my game much better. Does anyone use Xavi and like him?
 
Sold my entire Serie A squad last night. Sat around for a while deciding what team to build next. Italian national, apparently. Looking good so far, just a few subs short.

Trying 4-1-2-1-2.

Klose and Gomez are both God's in the air, Kiessling is good too and Helmes is alright even though his heading stat isn't amazing. Ballack is a good header as well but when I had him I always used to just play Rolfes, Vidal or Frings there. Then you've got the CB's like Hummels, Metzelder, Mertesacker or you can go for just Bundesliga players who aren't Germans like Naldo and Subotic. Really strong from set pieces are the Bundesliga teams. And cheap as well, the most expensive non-IF players in the Bundesliga are Ribery and Robben , and even though they're great players you don't really need them in your team for it to be amazing. :)

This post is actually making me depressed! A week ago I had the best German squad in the game, I was just saving up for an IF Klose and decided to try something new. I wanted a quick sale so I put all my players up for 150 starting price in the hopes that they would sell at roughly what I paid for them. As it turns out no, they didn't go for anywhere near what I paid for them and I lost about 40,000 coins. :(

I've decided to start in the Bundesliga again though, mainly because I love their players and have fun using them. I don't have fun using Serie A, EPL, La Liga or Ligue 1 teams. Which is handy because the vast majority of Bundesliga players are dirt cheap. If you're going to avoid having Robben and Ribery then I reckon the next most expensive non-IF players are probably Schweinsteiger and Ballack, and they can be had for under 10k easy.
 
I've already got Ribery so that's a big cost already covered. If I decide I don't like Xavi and sell him (and manage to make back what I spent), I'll have around 65k coins, and I reckon I could build quite a decent German team for that. It would certainly be something new to try, which is half the fun of UT IMO :)

Hmm...could use your advice matey, thinking about selling my EPL and La Liga teams (Aside from the goal monster that is Gerrard Pique :)), gonna try some experimenting with my new formation (4-3-1-2) works really well for me with my Italians, so its time to try Bundeslig..

With the 3 CM's, Robben is already with me and will be on the right, Ribery on the left, IF Klose & IF Gomez up top (Despite the lack of pace compared to Ibra & Milito :()

Fill in the blanks? Need a CM (Thinking Scweinsteiger but he's not great doubling back as a CDM) usual back line & a keeper!

Any thoughts Mr German? :)
 
My trade list is looking rather plump, will be putting these on at lunch/this evening, so if anyone is interested in them before then, contact me, no silly offers as I have plenty of coins and am in no rush to move these guys on for silly low prices.

Trochowski is good, quite quick and good at passing, shooting and free kicks, he's not very tall though so he won't be winning many headers. Schweinsteiger isn't too bad at defending, he doesn't have much pace though, there's an IF Schweinsteiger knocking around who has more pace than the normal one. Either that or you can convert Ballack who has good stats across the board, especially heading.
 
Played my first few games with my Serie A side last night. Played an offline tourney first which I won convincingly, Etoo was a god. Not overly impressed with Cavani, so have bought Milito to partner Eto. Got Eto for 40k and Milito for 20k (PS3) which I thought were good prices.

First impressions - 4222 seems OK, offers more in the centre than 442 while still allowing wing play if needed.

Cambiasso is an amazing CDM, always in the right place, and tackles superbly, more so than De Rossi.

So went to try it out online and had two bad games with major lag. First time ever, I don't know if it was coincidence but both guys I played were Italian with Italian teams also, hence the lag. I quit the first game after 2 mins, but tried to play out the 2nd and lost :(

Quitting the first game dropped my DNF by about .15 so annoying. Its the first time I've ever quit a game intentionally and my DNF is something like 0.66. Everything else is from disconnections :(
 
After a few games your DNF will go back up. :)

You must have some bad connection problems if you are consistently disconnected, does it happen in other games or just Fifa?

Just Fifa, but I've fixed the connection problems by putting the PS3 outside the DMZ. So I've worked over the last two weeks to raise the DNF and was around 0.88. But disconnecting one game dropped me back to .66 so actually a lot more than the 0.15 I stated in my earlier posted. Seems excessive to me. Especially at 0-0 and 2 minutes in.

I will be, now that I've bought Milito, I'll bring Cavani on as Sub. Etoo has been stealing the show for me. He can score from anywhere and his off the ball running is excellent. I play Etoo on the left of the two strikers, I wonder if there would be any noticeable difference if swapped.

Yes he's the 84 version. He's just not done it for me yet, I'll see what he's like as super sub :p
