**Official GeForce 6100/6150 Resource & Help Thread**

Very bizarre. Although at least you cna change VCore. When I first got the board I got it all the way up to 1.55V, but now it seems locked at ~1.36. :(

I've moved to the new BIOS, but still no luck :(

Which BIOS is that Firebar?
Take a look here: http://lejabeach.com/Biostar/6100-939/6100939bios.html

I'm about to try the Cu51mb02RH - modded without the Biostar splash screen. If I can't get VCore working soon I might have to RMA:(. And BIOS is still resetting its self every so often too. Luckily I've saved my settings for 2.4GHz so I only have to reload it. But it's a bit annoying now. This board has so much potential, it just seems to be completely against me achieveing it! :p

I'm using the latest from the Biostar site.

Yes, if this problem persists I may RMA it and then sell the replacement & get the upcoming epox board.

There's an Epox mATX board?

how are you two doing with the opteron/biostar combinations now?

I was thinking of getting an Opteron 146 CAB2E and the Biostar T6100-939 mobo, but judging by your comments all is not well.

I wouldn't let my experience put you off, there's plenty of people over at Hardforum who've had great success with the two :) . Mine seems fine now, perfectly stable, but VCore still won't budge despite numerous flashes. The thing is, it'll work for a day at 1.5V, with which I can go to 2.8GHz, but then it'll revert to stock Voltage no matter what it's set on. I think I might buy another one and then RMA this one.

Hi

I've just recieved my biostar and it looks great but I can't install it till tomorow :( . I was wondering if there is any1 who has had a good experience with the motherboard and who are they  ???

Got the biostar tforce 6100-939 in my main rig. Absolutely love the board, overclocks well and is rock stable.
If you are installing on a single SATA drive you do NOT need the Nvidia raid disk, just turn the raid off in the bios and it sees the SATA ports as standard IDE ports 5 and 6.
I use the latest Nvidia nforce drivers for this chipset from the nvidia website(version 8.22), using latest bios from the Biostar website.
If you get any probs, either post in thread or email at my trust email address

Hi again. Quick update:

I've just got round to RMA'ing my Tforce due the random BIOS resets and VCore not budging. Hopefully it'll be back again soon.

Yesterday I overclocked the user known as Possum's rig. He's got a Venice 3000 on the TForce and 1Gb Geil Dual Channel. Got it to 285FSB on 1.45V which I'm very impressed with. I'm sure it could do more with a bit of tweaking Can't wait to get a fully working one back and hopefully take my Opty CABNE all the way. Hoping for 2.8 on a suicide run:p.

Update:
Got the RMA replacement. The current state of my PC:

Overclocking will commence shortly. And the best news: VCore now adjusts! Wey!:p

Looks sweet mate, glad you sorted the problem out. And those old school Belinea CRT monitors are the dogs danglers!

Hell yeah, can't beat 'em (well for value anyway!).

I've SuperPi'd at 2.7 Ghz, but Prime is failing on me. I think my chip needs more than 1.55V to go further, which I'm not prepared to do in the Aria case with next to no airflow:p. Screenies up tomorrow.

Just built a rig for my sister-in-law with the Asus A8N-VM CSM, shes only using a A64 3500+ and isnt into overclocking! XP went on fine and it seems to work solidly.

:)

MSI 945GT Speedster Plus A4R not out yet but supports Core Solo, Core Duo, Celeron M 4xx and hopefully Merom too! Has VGA, DVI, Composite and S-Video Out... and a S/PDIF too
