I know we wont get the game until tomorrow/friday, but the other thread is 10 pages long and people will struggle to find info if it gets to big. The purpose of this thread will be to discuss gameplay tactics and help out others (hence the spoiler tags), and maybe even arrange some MP games :D

looks brill to me, and im only running it on my CRT TV, gonna plug in to my TFT in a bit.

At the mo im just mucking about trying to get used to the controls, tehres a lot of yanks already ranked on the score boards too.

It seems pretty awesome thus far
 
What difficulty you guys playing on?

I've opted for hard myself, though like DOA4 completeing a level on hard doesnt unlock it on normal
 
Graphics look great. The textures, the tones, the lighting. Better than COD2 and the best I've seen on the 360 so far.

As for the gameplay, being new to Ghost Recon that's something for me to get used to but certainly looks like the game has a lot of depth.

playing this on hard, ive currently got 2 guys in the red, 1 on yellow and an APC/US Embassy just blew up and i gotta protect the President, but jebus christ i cant do it, too many people come at me at once :( might start again and have all my guys healthy, only reason they low is cos i issued wrong order lol

just keep firing and put your men behind the low wall and you protect their left flank.

thats what i was doing, the big problem is the AI on this game is pretty poor, the guy im trying to protect keeps walking out infront of my firing :confused: and he just stands in the open ive shot him a few times now.

Decided to restart the level and see if i can get there with more health, but ill do it later, need to do some work first. :)

Oh aye, took me a couple of tries that one :)

There's one later on too, similar idea. Right pain to get through, had to turn it off cos it was doing my head in :) Been at it since 11 this morning, so nearly 5 hours aint bad for a first outing :)
 
what difficulty you lot playing on?

i might go through on normal to get more of a feel ofr things and an idea of the levels, i was hoping hard would unlock normal achievements too.

I'm playing on normal, this is my first forray into GR, thought I'd start off gently. Seems normal aint all that gentle :D
 
I'm findng normal is hard enouh for me! The embassy bit - just survive long enough for the apache to come on the scene then get hide benhind a wall and keep directing it at enemy soldiers using the cross con - took me about 5 goes on normal though lol.

Starting to get to grips with the controls, although i still keep pulling left trigger to try and zoom in a la cod2
 
how long does it normally take for the apache to get there? i can normally hold out untill the armoured car thing pulls up, but shortly after or during that i die.
