***Official GTX 670 thread***

Ended up buying the Asus :p

I know what you mean, they both seem and are excellent cards. I doubt that I could have gone wrong with either and even though there were some points which influenced that choice they were not enough to suggest that the Gigabyte is not anything but a great card too.

Hope You realise there are 2 Asus 670 direct CU models ?

been a long time since I used a nvda product - just got my windforce 670 here ... upgrading from a 6950 ...

- what drivers do you suggest I use and what ocing software (I hear people talking about msi afterburner ...?)
- best to uninstall ati drivers and run a drive sweeper (which one)?

thanks

Uninstall everything ATI in safe mode if you can, then drive cleaner and reg cleaner (anything ATI) then anything ATI on the PC (system & Hidden) etc..

Delete/remove what you can before taking the old card out, then do it again with new card installed and reboot before installing drivers.

Just been having a play with Heaven.

My old 580 clocked at 850/2200;

670 clocked at 1200/6006;

Does that seem about right the 670?

Yes mate. I think anyway? :confused: I'm a bit confused with the 600 series clocking. After a a couple runs of heaven thats the max core clock in both AF and GPUZ so I took that as the overclocked speed.

Use the OSD in Precision X or afterburner and monitor GPU Clock while benching, you will see the Boost clock going up and down (unless you increase the power limit)

What's AF ?

I've got a Asus GTX 670 TOP 2gb card and Im thinking of trying the nvidia surround setup with 3 Monitors but I just wanted to ask if any one has done it before and if there are any draw backs (e.g) High Temps or Battlefield will run at 10fps ect.
And how do you set up your display ports (e.g) DVI / HDMI / DVI (HDMI being the middle monitor)

I'd tried a few 670's but they just put too much heat out in sli and tri sli,
in hindsight I should have waited but there was a lot of issues with the 670's that I'd tried at the time.

Really wanted to go 3 or 4way sli to max everything out on 3D surround.
Almost pulled the trigger on 3 x Evga SC 4gb 670 but the short pcb's put me off as I wanted to watercool.
Then these reappeared at a silly price so I got them,2 for my main rig for now and 1 in my I5 2500k rig.

Toying with the idea of a new 77 mobo for the I5 to try sli on that to see which gives me the best results/performace and then hopefully put them underwater.
