***Official GTX 670 thread***

Latest rumours are these will be delayed for another month because they actually forgot to put the correct GPU in and have had to recall them all. They have been putting 680 GPU's in and realised they should have put 670 GPU's in. Also to note is the real 670 chip is almost as fast as a 6970 ;)

So glad I waited to do my ivy rebuild now. Was going to get a 680 but had hard time justifying the price tbh. The 670 is looking like it could be a beast of a card. Now Just want more reviews only one I could find is the tweaktown one.
 
Haha fair enough. Just seen a UK price of a PNY GTX 670 XLR8, which I do believe is there overclocked model, and if it is then it's not a terrible price.

Want to watch all the action unfold rather than working! :(

If I go to sleep at normal hours and wake up at 7 am ish, I still end up literally dropping dead at around 2 pm. If I stay awake all night, I still end up dropping dead at 2 pm.

I also need to sleep far fewer hours during the day, my body clock is wierd.
 
Its now a tossup between the EVGA GTX 670 Signature+ 2GB (backplate) or the Gigabyte Windforce x3. The prices will be the only thing really that will help me decide.


EDIT: When you buy evga with these special backplates, are they already put on or do you have to do it yourself?

Im leaning toward one of those or the asus - btw does the kfa2 have leds on the card? - Im not a big fan of led lights on hardware (have a led fan and IMO thats good enogh - they got mice, sound cards and now vid cards and cpu coolers and wt ... ok going off on a tangent) ...

wondering about the new dual slot cooler by asus; always thought they had a nice cooler but 3 slots was too big imo.
 
Think I will stick with my GTX580 Matrix Platinum for now. Next year/Christmas I want to get a 27/30 inch monitor and move up from 1920x1080 so will upgrade then to 680/685/690.
 
Galaxy are good. They are KFA2 in Europe. Uk rma base. I have a kfa2 570 which has been really good! I will be getting the kfa reference 670 as it has the high air flow bracket.
 
The VTX OC 7950 is on one week special for £287 which could be a good value alternative to this card. I'm definitely interested in the 670 but I still want the best bang for buck possible after ny 5850s only cost me £99 each.

If the 670 is priced aggressively it could be that card.
