Hopefully the variable mounting holes will allow it to fit if I buy a reference card.

Actually the width measurement on Zalmans site is wrong, the whole thing cant be 80 mm wide when the fan is 80 mm. I'll measure mine up.

102mm width, the size is fine, hoping the mounting holes will be too.

It's a case of priorities and kids, reliable car, family holiday etc take priority over my selfish indulgences.

that is exactly what I meant... if your finances are so tight that after covering the basics you never have any money for yourself...

I have all those costs you speak of yet still find a couple of hundred for myself here and there
 
Lock voltages on a GPU like the GK104 that can easily handle extra volts and overclocks without a problem, allow voltage tweaking on the terribly hot an inefficient GTX 480 and 580s.

Nvidia is lame.
