***Official GTX 670 thread***

Time to wipe the drivers and try again i guess

EDIT:

:/

Thats whats happening when I'm overclocked too much.

I got 1260 / 7100 stable with maximum fan speed and staying under 69 degrees, completed a maxed setting heaven run, and it locked up while loading my score :X

1260 Mhz and 69 degrees cant be too much :(

What the hell is the limit on this card then? I had an issue with 3d mark and it came to a stop as soon as it was calculating my score but I walked out the room made a cup of tea came back and it had recovered and posted it.

I've been with AMD for some time now, can someone tell me how this intelligent V-sync works? Do I turn it on on the control panel or something? Or does it do it automatically if I leave Vsync off in games?

I'm surprised your card is getting that hot bhaav, especially with that large heat sink and fans. Maybe they reapplying the thermal paste to see if it drops temps, thought these were very cool running cards.

Mine idles at around 28 (when on desktop browsing) in games it can go as high as 75 but... I didn't think that sort of temperature was a problem? I haven't used a Nvidia card for a PC since my 7600 have things changed? That is with it at stock.

No its not a problem just I thought these cards typically ran cooler than that, especially one with a large cooler like bhaavs.

69 degrees isnt too hot for a heatsink like this, this is actually very good:

+45, +545 for 1260 / 7098 works ... seems to be my absolute maximum possible.

No I didn't mean its too hot. I just thought they were cool running cards anyway and with a non reference cooler I thought temps would be even lower that's all.

I'd be pretty happy with 1250, going to do some testing tomorrow on air, see what I peak at. Trying to talk OcUK into sending me out an EK680 block tomorrow for Monday delivery too.

So once the block is on we will see if the clocking is purely thermal or if its something else.

Seems like you got the Gigabyte equal of my KFA2 lol.

:D Sure does.

Tbh im quite happy so far, its more than double the speed of my old 470 when I copmpared before and after Heaven/3d mark scores etc.

In terms of the OC should I turn the fan right up because currently I have just been letting it do its own thing?

**** sake, reinstalled drivers and still it's crashing and rebooting my PC :/

Ran furmark for 10 minutes, fair bit warmer in my room now than it was earlier, max temp was 84oC, that's fine isn't it? No artifacts, no sparkles.....can only assume the drivers are just simply being a **** on my PC >_<

Yeh same Bhavv, just one more though... although I have absolutely no use for a 2nd card at the moment and the most I have in my eyes is doing dual 1080 or 3d on a single monitor next month.

There is always the thought that I won't find a second card when I do want it though :-\

Got my windforce upto 1310MHz on the core (heaven stable):D
The memory seems stable at 6610MHz so far.:)

Strangely default settings seems to clock at 1188MHz core under load.
I'm not sure how that relates to the below but i'm well pleased.

As per specs:
- Core Clock: 980MHz (GK104)
- Core Boost Clock: 1058MHz

Advertised CBC is just a guaranteed minimum you can expect to see ;)

Review of the windforce I was having a read over last night had a stock boost of around 1150mhz iirc.
