• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

***Official GTX 670 thread***

If that's the case then OcUK really need to change the banner on the main graphics card page (it alternates between a GTX 590 & KFA2 banner):

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=701&catid=1914

It states "Free limited edition keyring with any KFA2 purchase" and when you follow the link the 670s are amongst the cards listed.
Email them then.
If they have changed the rules, then they need to change the advert, otherwise they are breaching a fair few Rules

Naw I don't mean furmark testing, I meant the settings of the benchmark. You currently have Tessalation off, and no AA. Basically, it's not really testing what your card is made for. Check out the heaven benchmark thread for the standard settings they use, and then you'll get a good idea of where about you are. Also you'll notice a massive difference in the eye candy :D

Anyway, it seems like you have a good card considering where it clocks to at stock settings. My windforce boosts to 1175 at stock. My max OC so far has been 1300 mhz core clock, and 3492 mhz mem clock. For gaming I've got it clocked at 1200mhz GPU clock, and 3200 mhz mem clock. I get about 65 degrees, but I do have a stupidly hot room all the time :)

Ah I see, yes thanks. I didn't know about the standard settings so I just left everything at the settings the programme launched with. Will try with the new ones.

I reseated the heatsink, and installed my Antec spotcool. It reduced my temperatures a bit, and didnt really do anything for the GPU clocks, but somehow it let me run my ram faster:

1250 / 7300! 7400 Mhz was almost stable, got through like 16 of the heaven tests ... Why couldnt they have put ramsinks on these cards :(

I opted for a Windforce, so was just pointing out there was a discrepancy. I'm not getting all Mary Whitehouse-ish and on some kind of morale crusade ;)

Ordered a windforce. Saturday delivery. Still saying its in birmingham depot ffs.
Was so looking forward to this today :(

The DPD tracking system can be dog slow sometimes. Also the tracking will not update until it has reached the depot, so over-night shipping to Edinburgh it might be in the depot soon and then whisked out with a drive too you. I can't say for Saturdays but durring the week 'next day' is anytime between 8am and 8pm.

If you are worried, head over to CS with tracking and order number in hand and see if they can give DPD a kick up the bum :)

Ok so I'm still testing. The windforce is simply EATING all the OCs I throw at it. I'm being deliberately slow but the card isn't even breaking a sweat.

Will just post the latest 3dmark and once I've hit a wall I will post the heaven bench as well:

Settings Core 1360 MHz (+171), Memory 7366 (+ 679). GPU max temp 54C!!! GPU score over 11,000 now.

Those benchies look promising Alex :) What was your stock boost clock?

Just got to go to Asda to buy some food, then I'll back back installing the card.

Any benchmark requests?

Thanks, stock boost clock is 1190MHz.

I pushed to +180 core keeping the memory the same (+679) but started to get some screen artifacts on 3dmark 11 although the system didn't stop the bench or crash. As soon as I saw them I stopped.

I think I'll stop at this point although the brave ones out there I'm sure can get the windforce to much higher as it doesn't seem to be heat limited (at least in my system).

So as it stands, I'm calling my OC at +14% core and +23% memory.

think 670 will be in my basket soon, looks like a good upgrade for my 470

Would you be kind enough to give us a nice Heavenly bench using the following set up options below:

1 API = DirectX 11
2 Tessellation = Normal
3 Shaders = High
4 Anisotropy = 4x
5 Stereo 3D = disabled
6 Multi monitor = disabled
7 Anti-aliasing = 4x
8 Full screen = enabled (yes)
9 Resolution = 1680x1050 or 1920x1080

Gives everyone a good indication against other benchmarks and nice comparison against other cards and ratings

I have a windforce incoming also \o/

Nice :D

I'll be over the moon with 1250 on air, Monday/Tuesday I should have my waterblock, once its in, depending how well it clocks on air I'm aiming for 1350+

For my benches I will be using Heaven 3.0 @ OcUK bench standards, Crysis warhead, Batman AC, Dirt3 and if I can figure out how to set an FPS recorder BF3 & Witcher 2. Have a shed load of other games, so I will be taking requests.

Expect to have the first lot up by around 1pm.

Just for reference when I had a 7970, the max OC I could get (~1100/1500 iirc) gave me heaven scores of around 2000 @ 1920x1080 & CF 6950's @ 950/1350 gave around 2350.

Edit: Also on a Windforce.

Just installed the card
For HAF X users there might be a small problem fitting the 2 screws to hold the card. Mine didnt align properly so I had to push the card abit.

boost clock that I saw while running heaven was 1163 (it steadied at 1150 for about 45secs)

Anyway, I want to try to adjust the sliders in the precision X but what do you when the computer locks up?

Sure no probs. I am ramping it up slowly to try and get the same OC that was stable on 3dmark 11. Here is one of the benches with the above settings. I think I can get it a little better.

Core 1340 (+ 153), Memory 7114 (+552):
