There are many threads about the GTX680 but there isn't one dedicated to overclocking it.... so here it is.

This is the best I could muster, anything higher it crashes to Desktop

Looking forward to seeing what other have managed to get :)

I ran Heaven Benchmark 3.0 four times in a row and 1 hour of BF3. Although I wouldn't recommend gaming at this speed, the fans are too loud.

I ran my Heaven 3.0's at 140/500 but it doesn't actually clock the memory that high, it just goes up an extra 250 according to gpuz

Stable 5 or so runs in Heaven.

p.s. it obviously doesn't run that cool - this screenshot was taken just as it clocked up.

I can go 7mhz more than you rusty on the GPU offset but anything over is unstable. I ran a loop of heaven for a few hours whilst at work, came back and it was still going.

Good enough for now, till they unlock the volts. I know there is more in the tank.

Also I run my mem clock @ 206 but didn't notice any difference at going more or less TBH. Anybody else notice a difference?

Actually I just worked out the mem thing, of course its doubled isn't it so thats why gpuz shows only half the memory speed increase.

Yeah - I gained about 7-10 FPS on BF3 fully maxed by overclocking. Very impressed.

Mine crashed on 180 so I just went down to 170. There may be a tiny more there but I'm happy. Need to see what effect the memory speed has on performance.

My card is shockingly bad. Won't even do 132%/+140/+300.

In fact in my system I've used a 480, 570 and a 7970, all of which were bad clockers, which begs the question- could there be something wrong with my system?

You have a fantastic system. Are your temps all good? Maybe the case isn't getting a good airflow so temps high.

Temps are excellent and I have a fan profile which keeps it around 70c. Can't understand it. I'm thinking it's either something to do with my 3 year old psu (corsair tx750w ) or I'm just extremely unlucky with gpus :p

I know can get 170 Stable but not pushed in 1 Mhz increments yet.

However, interestingly, even at +170 the PEAK Power Usage of the card is 109% ~1260Mhz Core. I cannot get it anywhere NEAR 132% This is with Fans at a manual 85% and max load temp of 53 Deg C

What about others?

Mine seems to be a tidy clocker and temps are good even under load (max 75c). I know this card can do more but kind of frustrating with the volts.

Sounds like the latter Nocky and just bad luck :( I was the same with a Q6600. It just would not OC at all but I got a Q8400 at a bargain price which clocked real well.

Edit:

177 for me Sin. Also I have not tried the 1mhz increments and prolly I wont as I am too lazy. Ohh and I can bench 3D mark @ 1342 (200mhz gpu) but no hope of that stable or heaven bench.

I've noticed even with the card at 170/500 with volts at 1.175 my Heaven 3.0 bench is actually slower than at 140/400

Are all these results at stock volts or have you tweaked the voltages aswel? On stock volts i can manage:

132%
+140
+190

Heaven 2.5 results jump from 1800+ to 2088 on 1680*1080

Also for anyone who wants to know if the card is bottled necked by the Phenom 955, well it's not! Card runs at 99% when it's needed to. It's dead silent aswel :), very happy!

That looks like a good one. :) I still don't understand though how +170=1280 when the stock boost clock is 1058? Jay's one above makes sense, +140=1199.

So is the general consensus that they'll all do 1200+ on the core no probs?
