***Official Halo:ODST Thread***

Well i've crumbled and pre-ordered :o

First 360 game i've ever pre-ordered, so it better be good now :p

After dropping the last ViDoc “Desperate Measures” into the mix we quickly made mention that we were fast at work on another one. We also noted that you would be quite familiar with the star of this second ODST show. Some guessed that Dare was gonna make an appearance; others assumed that Buck had more to say about his squad. Those people were all so totally wrong.

Can’t really blame ‘em though. We didn’t provide much context. Until now:

Watched that about 6am and I came buckets :D

That video made me cancel my pre-order with one site (they ran out of codes) and re-order it with another site which still had codes left (I assume they do, since they don't list whether they've sold out yet).
 
No can do I am the only Johnson is our fire fight games :cool:

I'll talk to you about it later. I'm not even sure they have stock, but they aren't listing as Sold out yet like my original Pre-order did.

Infact you just message me when you're at home with 5 mins to spare I should be around, but I haven't been to sleep yet so I am guaranteed to be wanting to sleep around 5pm but I am going to try and stay awake since I am sick of sleeping all day for the past few weeks.

I think you can take their helmets off in the customization bit. You can still be black Krono.

My 360 RROD'd today btw. I'm gonna have to look at options for getting another before the game's released. All down to the boss though. I'm pretty annoyed as now I have literally nothing to do.

Also, whats this about codes running out? That's a tad annoying.

I would be quick about that because MS is soon dropping the Pro unit altogether and is bumping up the price of the Arcade unit from £130 RRP to £160 RRP.

Nothing really just the place I ordered from had none left and when I saw the Johnson video I just had to have him so I ordered elsewhere. But I am not sure whether they have any instock, since they may not need to say it directly because at the bottom they have this:

This looks really good from the video I saw. Before that I had no idea what it was.. only problem is I have to finish playing through Halo 2 and 3 first :)
 
Halo 2 yes, but Halo 3 isn't needed (although you should play it just to get a feel for the story).

ODST takes place during Halo 2.

Because when it came to multiplayer people using M&K would have an advantage.
Plus some people won't be able to use M&K for games.I know I struggle using them in any game apart from RTS ones.Give me a FPS with a M&K and i'm utter crap!
Back to the original topic - I may get this at somepoint.Halo doesn't really interest me that much and halo 3 was just ok.Not as super as some people make out.
 
Shame firefight is only 4 players it looks pretty good otherwise. The guns look more my kind of thing as well.

The campaign doesn't interest me other than a quick 4 player co-op walkthrough. After all I still have the last 2 levels of halo 1 to finish :D
