This seems to be aimed at kids or people who dont usually play video games. Devs seem very concious of that.

Collect 6 whatevers - route marked on the mini-map. Theya re also being very coy about map size, locations etc - wonder why .....

Hope I am wrong but think this is going to be a disappointment.

I think it has the potential to be a disappointment for those going into this with the expectation that it's going to be a huge fleshed out RPG, I think it will have a basic story and be successful purely because it's an open Hogwarts game which people have been wanting for so long. Harry Potter Sims as it was. So real lack of features though, no quidditch which could have been a fantastic mini game. I'll be waiting for reviews but I never pre-order anyway.

I have no expectations really. I’ve only watched a couple of the vids in this thread. Why am I likely to buy it day one? It looks beautiful and I like a good story, simple as that! :)

Detail in the game looks incredible. I dont really care if its short. 6-8 hour game will do me fine as long as its remotely interesting, decent enough to play.

6- 8 hours ??!! You do realise they are charging £70 for this ?

No wonder the cost of living is like it is if people are happy with 8 hours for that money.

There's a bit of a campaign to boycott this game because if JK hah.

I have two buy two copies one for me and one for middle one.

Can't wait.
It’ll be the biggest selling game this year. Campaign or no.

I’ve never really been into it. But everyone seems to be buzzing about this (even some non gamers I’ve spoken to)

I can't see this being anything than a crushing disappointment - they should have went and got a AAA dev onboard to do it, but WB know it'll sell either way so why invest that much upfront

Game has already gone gold.

Can't wait myself. Want the collector's edition but it's so expensive.

I've reset my expectations on this. I've got a feeling it's going to be like bargain bin after a couple of months

If it’s reeeeally bad I will ignore but a 7/10 ish will do just fine for me. I like what I’ve seen but you never really know until it’s out there.

Looking forward to this. I'm just not sure what platform to get it on - I have a half decent PC and both a PS5 and a Series X but I think for me, this is going to be a console game.

According to this article the PS5 has some exclusive content but the wording does suggest some PlayStation bias: https://gamerant.com/hogwarts-legac...dualsense-controller-magic-duels-exploration/

Will wait and see what the score is closer to release I suppose.

I’ve got a PS4 pro and a PS5. Does anyone know if there is a version that would allow me to play it on both consoles? (Not at the same time). Does PS5 allow game save sharing with the PS4 version as well. Alternatively does an Xbox version allow this? (Series X and one?)

I'd imagine you'd need two copies - unless they do one of those 'cross gen' (or whatever they're called) bundles. As for saves sharing between consoles - I highly doubt that will be a feature, as they're two different systems.

You could just use the PS4 to remote play the PS5 - that's what I do when I'm kicked off the OLED in the living room; at least that way you can just by it for PS5 and not worry about anything else.
