I’ve got a 25hr wait until I can play :cry: oh well. Not been this excited for a release in a while - I’ve never seen the films or read the books either.

Not to add to your excitement but it's truly excellent! Also coming from someone who has never read the books or watched the films. It's a great RPG in its own right (so far!)

Broomstick on the main quest line? Going to progress until I get that then start doing side quests etc.

Currently level 7 around 3 hrs in. Loving it so far the attention to detail in the castle and hogsmeade is amazing.
Yeh you’re pretty close to broomstick time

Pretty excited to hear all your impressions and I am a huge HP fan of the books, movies and I’ve got them all on Audible as well (got to love Stephen Fry). So yeah excited!

Having seen all the glowing reviews but not being a big hp fan, I've marked this down as a,wait for someone to complete it and buy it for sub £30 on vinted in a months time deal.

I've got Monster Hunter Rise on xbox to finish (currently hr60) and managed to snag Tiny Tina's Wonderland for £15 so that should keep me busy for a while.

I caved and pre-ordered, arriving today, had £15 of vouchers which made it reasonable.

Impressed the codes went out for reviewers a while back it seems and the reviews dropped early enough. I really dislike when firms have embargoes on footage and keep review scores until the day before release, always a bad sign, looking at you Cyberpunk.

Appears to be a great world to explore, I was never a big HP fan, read a few of the books which are very good but only watched the first movie this week in preparation.

I don't know much about the different houses barring Slytherin and Griffindor so spent too long yesterday researching them and doing quizzes to work out which house I am... I need to get out more :)

It's about £32 in Turkish store I think. I only got physical as it won't take me long and I can sell it soon

Was burnt by the over-hype on GOW. Will watch and wait and see how people respond once the hype as settled.

Its a great game, if like exploration, immersion, puzzles and such i'm sure you will love this.

Im not a HP nut but have seen the movies. The world they have created here it brilliant.

Im not far in, completed a few early quests and explored some of Hogwarts which is gigantic, and now arrived at Hogsmeade which I need to explore still.

Has a few issues with performance in some modes, and menus are a bit slow when browsing the different categories. Not got to night time yet, but heard Hogwarts becomes a Bit of a ghost town, even the common room where students sleep, no one is there, lol.
But I guess these are all things that patches can fix over time. The world here certainly has potential for even more if the devs see it that way.

Is there no day one patch? I’ve installed the game but there’s no additional download?

Edit: Just used the power of google / Reddit and it appears one is scheduled, but just not released yet for some reason.

I've not seen anything official as to what the patch contains, lot of rumours of performance fixes but the official website does have an FAQ section with the following:

Q: Does Hogwarts Legacy require an internet connection?
A: Those who purchase a physical copy of Hogwarts Legacy will be required to connect to the internet to install a Day 1 patch. Those who purchase the game digitally will receive the patch with the initial download.

Edit: The unlock time for Steam etc. is 6pm GMT so maybe won't drop until after that.

Woah this is brilliantly done. Tried a few graphic modes and I think performance hits it for me. Game is very polished and obviously made by people who love the franchise.
