So it's a soft case all round.... might just stick to the STM Grip then as I presume it offers better protection being a hard shell.

I just bought the incipio dark grey featherlight and dark grey smart cover costing me £65 after waiting and reading this thread and now they do this less than a week later.

Meh, I'll stick with my existing smart cover plus Belkin snap sheild secure, looks better than Apple's effort.

Typical of them though to bring this out when it should have been the original solution.

I've got the iPad 2 version and fits perfectly to my one. Let me know what you think of it once you've got it on your iPad. I've got the red leather smart cover with this and the contrast of colours looks pretty good imo

Yeah I got the one and it fit perfectly, combined mine with the black leader smart cover and it looked very good. The back cover is a bit slippy to hold though.

Unfortunately, I don't have an iPad at the moment, I had to send mine back because of dust under the screen! I think I'll send the case back as I wanted something more grippy to hold, not sure though as its very nice.

Never had a problem with mine being to slippery to hold, maybe you've just got very smooth hands

I got a smart cover and a belkin back cover for mine, works well. I do really like the look of the new apple one tho, might have to splash out on one next month as finally the white one doesn't look gray!

Not specifically for the new iPad, but I bought a Cloth Addiction microfibre cloth today.

I cannot stress how lightly I touch this cloth to the screen and it removed a days worth of smudges (and those lines you get if you use a smart cover). Better than any microfibre cloth I have received with any products, or the ones you use for glasses.

Baader do a great fluid & cloth combo. So good that many (including myself) use it on telescope lenses.

What are the edges like on the new smart cover? I remember the original apple ipad cover had the same edges and it digged into your hand a bit after a while.

I really want a case that has a hand strap but I'm not spending £40 on a "branded" one. Any suggestions?
