***Official Ivybridge Overclock Thread***

i5 3570k asrock z77 extreme 6

hey people, been reading this thread and thought you all seem to know what you are talking about. so was wondering if you could check my overclock and give your opinions, temp, volts etc. not even tried 4.6 yet. still running prime95 only couple hours till i get to 24 hours. Passed ibt on maximum, 3d mark, vantage as well.

Im using a antec 620 push/pull and my max temps on ibt on maximum was 74c is that ok? I see some are running higher temps. For prime95 as you can see is max 64c. You think i could push higher maybe 4.7 or its best to leave at 4.5 as it seems pretty stable. From what i have been reading pushing higher than 4.5 temps go right up due to a bigger increase in volts. :)

After writing this i dont know how to post a image lol.

Asrock z77 extreme 6, i5 3570k @4.5. volts 1.240 (offset -0.05) 8gb gskills

Those sound fine to me, looks like a good chip you've got there :)

I'm 100% stable at 4.4Ghz, 1.185v. My problem is I'm not getting benchmarks scores of similar setups. Ram is clocked at 1600Mhz. I feel there's a setting in advanced bios tab I need to change. Everything is set to default/auto except the cpu+ram multiplier and vcore. Is there something else that needs to be changed?

Here's a benchmark I did, is my chip scoring normally?

Many thanks

Mines running at 4.4ghz and I get a physics score of 8632 compared to your 8340. I've got the motherboard a step below yours. I don't know if that's a big difference or not though in 3dmark.

I have got twice as much ram though.

i can run small fft for 12hours + at 4.7ghz 1.28vcore as soon as i run blend test it fails instantly! with bsod 0x124 any ideas on how to fix this bsod,

spec in sig

What voltages are you using mate?

Have you got SP1 and latest prime with avx support installed?

Vonex - Did you get your cpu from here?

i'm using prime 27.7 with sp1 installed, unfortunately i didnt get my cpu from ocuk, i have no idea whats going, dropped my vcore to 1.2v underlaod at 4.6ghz been running prime blend for an hour thought it would have bsod by now

it did come from bolton BL5 3XU, about 4 weeks ago. dont think its the same place your on about tho

Thanks mate,

It appears they don't stock them anymore. I purchased one from here and it wasn't a good clocker at all.

No mate, it just doesn't have it. The deluxe does but this 'pro' ie not cheapest version doesn't feature it at all.

i can pass 12h48m prime small ffts @ 4.6ghz 1.208 vcore vdroop

fails blend instantly,
4.6ghz @ 1.23 fails blend, 1.245 fails blend, 1.28 fails blend!!

vcore is not the issue for me which leads me to believe its not the cpu causing my 0x124 bsod

got my ram manually set to 1866mhz(default) 9 10 9 27 2t @ 1.5v

need some help xD

currently testing
i/o voltage 1.2v
system agent voltage 0.9500v
memory voltage 1.6v
pll voltage 1.84

You need more Vcore - if you're using Prime with AVX extensions small isn't necessarily the toughest test - I certainly seem to need a lot more Vcore to get it completely stable in Blend over Small.

still testing at the settings above nearly 4hours in to prime blend after changing these settings from auto:

i/o voltage 1.2v
system agent voltage 0.9500v
memory voltage 1.6v
pll voltage 1.84

vcore underload 1.224vcore

so not to sure what has enabled my system to run blend for 4hours when i was previously getting bsod pretty much instantly.

system agent voltage(VCCSA) default was 0.9250 changed it to 0.9500

i/o voltage(VVT - VCCIO) default was 0.9500 changed it to 1.2v(recommended max i think)

i have tried i/o voltage and system agent voltage before and has allways failed blend,

never tried it with all 4 settings together, which is now working but i really suspect i/o voltage might not need to be that high
