i see OCuK are now selling their ivy bridge bundles, with 3770k overclocked to 4.6ghz on air. There is hope for us yet.
Didn't you get a chance to check out all the pre release reviews?

So, those who are going for the Ivy choice - what cooler are you getting for it? It looks are though it is going to have to be quite a solid one for a 4.5GHz over-clock.
Didn't you get a chance to check out all the pre release reviews?people were getting 4.8Ghz on air
albeit not with that great temps.
I did indeed, just didnt think people would push pass 4.5 because of the temps![]()
I guess it all depends on what you feel like you can put your chip throughId be quite happy to have temps at 75ish underload.
w00t may have just persuaded my missus to let me get a Z77 + 3770k as my birthday present, perfect timing on the release intelhaha
Yeah I know maybe when Im out of Uni and pulling 30k+ a year Ill have like 3-4 PC's to play with![]()

EDIT: seems like a pretty decent insight into it
I was just about to post this. Watching through it now. So far it seems that max voltage is around 1.25V-1.3V with a max frequency of around 4.8GHz, with these chips.
Edit: He's using a Corsair H60, so I guess you may be able to squeeze a bit more out of it using the best air-coolers?
good vid
but not sure about the don't run "Prime" message
You dont run prime because the chip gets way too hot.
