This looks like an awesome upcoming game developed by a new studio called Team Bondi and picked up for publishing by Rockstar.
The game is L.A Noire and is an interactive hard boiled detective story set in a "perfect reconstruction" of 1940's L.A (Over 180,000 images of postwar LA have been scanned and recreated in the game).

Recently, some information about the technology behind the game was revealed: developers of Team Bondi, the Rockstar-owned company that makes the game, apparently uses a revolutionary technology for the “motion capture”, which dramatically improves facial animation. The developers even said that L.A. Noire will make the faces in Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 look like “gold fish” in comparison.
Anyone who has ever seen and enjoyed a Humphrey Bogart movie or read a Raymond Chandler novel will surely be waiting for this with baited breath - I know I am

L.A. Noire blends action, detection and complex storytelling and draws players into an open-ended challenge to solve a series of gruesome murders. Set in a perfectly recreated Los Angeles before freeways, with a post-war backdrop of corruption, drugs and jazz, L.A. Noire will truly blend cinema and gaming.
This is starting to look like an amazing year for console games!
