Mine said that too, but it didn't update steam client until after I'd downloaded the second big chunk of l4d2, and restarted steam, then it patched the client. (And then 1% more of the game).

I hope there aren't too many more updates as I'm pretty close to my cap this month (first time ever!) ... haven't even downloaded the actual L4D2 yet - might have to wait till next month to pre-load it as that'd push me over the top :/
