A lot of people take it far too seriously IMO.
 
I do get annoyed when you join a game and 1 team (usually the one with the empty space so i get lumbered on it) is full of people with appauling pings and never played. While the other is a clan of regular gamers with sub 10ms pings.

I wish there was a matchmaking option for forced "random" team selection to help balance it a little. But otherwise i cant fault the game :D love it more than the first i think now. And ive managed to clock up about 300 hours on that. :S
 
really enjoying it but never really played 'v' - might have to give it a blast...

what's the word on the future updates, i seem to get bored of the maps so easy, i hope some custom maps come out soon, death abroad was amazing on the first one.

furthermore i thought that all the old maps would just work on l4d2?
 
I think Arena of the Dead & No Mercy was updated to L4D2 a few days ago, Going to try one of them in a few mins and see how it goes

My housemate takes it WAYY too seriously, smashing glasses etc cus he lost a round or something. Constantly shouting at everyone on vent for not doing exactly what he would. I can hear him through the house every night.

Hes not even that good at the game :/

Pratting about while playing a decent game and having a laugh is what this is all about. Many a good time with steve and midnight and the rest of you unruly rabble. :D
 
You can't take l4d seriously with banjos playing and cold chill running down your spine whenever you hear midnights char say "MOLATOV!" :p
 
Is anyone else having graphical glitch issues with this game?

I am and it's like (read, like) my system is overheating but it's not. The graphics just go crazy, textures stay on the screen in 2d layers ontop of other things, crazy flat colours (Think greens, blues, purples, pinks etc) and as of the latest nVidia driver update after it does it when I quit and re-load the game to clear the issue anything 3d has static like white ********** all over it, including the game menu. Wont fix until a reboot happens.

I know it sounds like memory corruption/overheating but I can assure you that no other game does this no matter how hard I push the system.

Done some Google Fu but not really found anything.
 
You couldn't even pay me to use something like that, completely defeats the purpose of playing a game if the computer is going to be playing it for you (yes I realise it's not exactly like that but you get the point).

Yep, only speaks to your team. I wouldn't worry about the accent either, most of the people around here, myself included, have no trouble understanding Sharpy so you'd probably be even easier to understand.

I've played on the same team as a Scotsman and an Irishman, a northern accent is nothing :)
