Any chance we could get a list going of AM3 coolers that fit without fouling the first 2 dimm slots i'm finding it hard to locate that sorta info on the web.
And it's making it difficult to choose one without knowing if it's going to fit.

Many thanks to anyone that adds cooler to this page
(Confirmed fits only please not maybes/if's/buts)

TITAN FENRIR
OCZ VENDETTA 2
CORSAIR H50
THERMOLAB BARAM

I'm 90% sure my Titan Fenrir would be ok, if you put the ram in first. It looks like there is enough clearance, not for the stupid RAM that look like hair brushes though.

The OCZ Vendetta 2 but it does slighty cover the first 2 RAM slots. However, you can still remove the RAM without removing the cooler from the motherboard unless you have very tall RAM.

Edit: This is a fairly tall cooler so case dimensions should be taken into consideration with smaller mid-towers. It fits perfectly in a Thermaltake Element G and Gigabyte GZ-X9 but in the Gigabyte you will not be able to mount a side panel fan with this cooler.

With a fan fitted the Thermolab Baram blocks the first RAM slot on my M4879T Deluxe. It might still be usable for some types of RAM without larger heat-spreaders or depending on fan type but definately couldn't insert corsair dominator RAM with the fan there.

Just installed a Baram on a Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD3.

The heatsink itself doesn't cover the ram slot although the fan I strapped on does overhang above the 1st stick.

Not a problem on this set up, my corsair ram has a simple sheath cover and the fan sits about 30mm above the stick. Could easily replace the ram without moving anything else.

I think this is for any AM3 cooler that you can use at the same time as having ram sticks in slot 1 / 2 on your mobo. Although it is worth noting which combo's work but block removal and fitting in those slots.

Might also be useful to also include a list of mobo / cooler combinations that people know to not work at all.

That will depend on the motherboard model and RAM model as well.
Can't say in general, some mobos/rams might fit on all slots and some won't.

Just my 2p.

Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme covers the first DIMM slot, but I had enough room to get the memory in with the heatsink in place. The really tall memory may struggle though.
