*** Official Nintendo Wii U thread ***

That's odd, what sort of walls do you have? I can use mine upstairs in my bedroom (Wii u in living room downstairs) about 16-17ft away with only an occasional stutter. I was mega impressed with it

I have problems with range too, it refuses to work anywhere other then the living room and I'm in a relatively modern (1980s) build

I think as people have said, wireless interference is probably coming into it!

I've got it sitting in a converted garage room, I'm probably lucky I can play it ustairs, although I am directly above it! :)

Mine was a bit better this morning with a fully charged pad, its also better if the pads facing the direction of the console itself.

Loving the F-zero mini game on Nintendoland, I think it has been harshly judged by fans that want a proper F-zero game from Nintendo (or even better SEGA again!). It starts getting quite fun in the later waves where you have a lot to dodge imo.

I've not tried many of the games yet what are peoples 'best' Nintendoland 1P games?

Fifa Demo was downloaded and boy was it a stuttering mess, I hope its not like that in retail, although I won't be buying it!

I bought it and noticed it straight away, but after I updated the Wii U and then the game it didn't happen in the next 2 matches I played.

Fingers crossed.

Was at Game for opening to get a replacement Wii U. Now home and updating nicely with a plethora of games - can't wait to get stuck in.

Also included in the bundle I got from Game was an all in one charger (£39.99) and screen protector and spare gamepad pen (£4.99) for free. Not a fan of Game at all but that was a nice touch.

Can anyone with black ops 2 tell me how to get back to the wii menu?
Normally( in all other games ) it's the home button -> close software, but in BL2 the home button is disabled :/

Also why is NAT strict when it's open on the Xbox version with the same network setup :(

Its probably using the same port number as the xbox.
It happened with blops when i had the pc and xbox version, both use port 3074.
reboot your router the first version you play should be open.

Odd with the stuttering,my son,and myself remarked on how silky smooth the demo was, that was the first comment that we made.

Just been playing this morning and it isn't smooth, but the slowdown seems a lot better.

Had a lot of fun with the gf last night on Sonic Racing, going to play Zombie U later.

Sadly the Zavvi Mario Bros still hasn't turned up, not going to be ordering from them again. What i didn't understand was why they didn't put all the games in the same box as the console.

To anyone having network issues (not internet), Virgin Media or otherwise check if you have MAC address filtering enabled and add the WiiU MAC address as necessary.

Probably obvious, but easy to overlook.

Anyone have a list of games that can play just on the controllers screen?
Been playing blops 2 and NSMBU and not having to fight for the tv is such a useful feature

I find the lack of pictures in this thread disturbing.

What would you like pictures of?

Just playing it in bed perhaps?

That's a pretty stand out feature in my opinion and is way more than just a gimmick. What's the range like on it?

Quoted 20ft, mine struggles beyond 16-17ft in a new build house which is probably the ideal conditions re wall thickness so I think 20ft is with no wireless interference and absolutely nothing between pad and console.
