i know its a little imature as it a month away from release but i thought i would bring it to peoples attention

What it is?

Its basicly Nvidias copy off ATI's Eyeinfinty and is also compatable with 3d view so imaging your eyeinfinty set up with 3d ?

What do i need to run it ?

From what has been released it will be free and part and parcel with the drivers and run on any pc with sli and 3 dvi/vga/hdmi out for 3x1 screen set up

That is a quick run through off what it is and what it does i just would like so see people's veiws on it huge hit ? or fermi flop ?

Having used it for a while, I'm not a fan of Nvidia surround. Two reasons mainly:

1. Switching between modes ['surround', single-screen and regular triple-screen configs] takes too long (~30s). Plus it never remembers the correct screen arrangement, and messes up desktop icons (it transitions between the modes by going to an 800*600 resolution, which screws icon arrangement).

2. Video playback performance is very poor in surround mode: A single SD video clip will play smoothly, a 720p x286 clip will be a little jerky, but trying to play multiple video files simultaneously seems pretty much impossible (they will drop to a couple of frames per second playback).

These seem like they should be fixable problems... To be frank, I'm a little annoyed that they haven't been sorted yet. As things are I stay in regular triple screen mode 90% of the time, and only switch to surround or single-screen mode for gaming. If it were less buggy then I would happily run in surround mode always.
