*****Official NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 Thread*****

Don't know about anyone else but I've lost a bit of interest in new card release at the moment. The medical acronym I think is GCOL (IE.Graphics Card Over Load).

There certainly doesn't appear to have been the "fever pitch" of excitement about the release of the 570 GTX that there have been for some of the other cards that have come out of late.

Anyone know which manufacturers have UK RMA?
KFA is the same people who did BFG, when US BFG went out of graphics business, UK guys stayed and are now backed by Galaxy.

Zotac also has UK support phone number on their website

EVGA in Germany last time i checked.

Asus and Gigabyte are huge motherboard brands, so *should* have UK RMA.

Palit don't have anything in Europe, i personally won't touch them. hence they are selling so cheap

not sure about Inno3D. but in the end, KFA is the best grand as BFG in UK was fantastic.

I think Palit is so cheap because of the volume they manufacture.

So guys i picked up an MSI one on TWO for £270 - opted for it over a 6970 - what are peoples thoughts on these cards then? how are they overclocking? im assuming my corsair hx520 will be enough for this :) ?

I'm hopefully going sli at a later date. Ended up going for a 570 today over the 6970 as I believe there's a good chance they'll drop in price come next year when I'll opt for a second. The 6970 will only increase in price come new year (as gibbo has stated) and I reckon it'll sit there for a long time if the 5870 release is anything to go by. Should work out cheaper if this holds true, with only a negligible difference in performance.

A 6950 in xfire would have been great, but my budget only accommodates for a single gpu solution at the moment. A single 6950 wouldn't have quite fit the bill for now imo, so I just went for the next tier up gpu, which was the cheapest based on price/performance, personal preference, driver experiences, plus I don't want any red in my case if I can avoid it lol. Yes, I am that shallow! :D

I ordered one of these at 7am today once my suspicions on the 6970 had been confirmed. I suspect this thread will now grow as others come to the same conclusion. I went for the KFA due to the 2-year UK warranty and the fact I could get it for £241.48 all in.

So what overclock can I expect at default volts?

Nice price! I have no idea where you're getting them from. The best I can find in stock is £260 delivered :( My googling skills fail me once more...

Me too, could only find the same one too which is now out of stock, anyway not bothered have the MSI coming tomorrow, plus i trust OcUKs RMA service over anybody else. When my 8800GTX started playing up a competitor couldnt care less.

I hope I'm within the rules here, and I sincerely apologise if not:
I too was looking at the 570 today, and I found the PNY and KFA at £260, and there was a further £10 off with standard voucher codes available online.

So £250 for a 570, or £276 for a Saphire 6970 (I know the 6950 is better value, but I can't afford a 580 and I think my games will test any lesser single card, so I fancied going better than 6950).

Tough decision and it'll be a while before I know whether I made the right one, but I've gone for the 6970.

I think these might get down to £250 but there a 2 factors, the main one being they are short supply and what AMD does with it's 69** pricing after Christmas... time will tell ;)

why would them being in short supply drive the price down? i don't understand that logic. i mean, they will come down i think, but i doubt to anything under £250 so to the people who say they can pick them up at the price, that is a great deal!

you don't want to know what i picked mine up for.. :D
