It is on your map :p I'm at work at the moment so can't tell you exactly where it is but it's one of the main towns, it's definately on your map.

North of the Imperial City. Get the Imperial City central in your map and just go up, you can't miss it.

Yay!! just bought my first house. its a small 1 room shack at the waterfront. cost 2000 gold. im off to furnish it now.

This game is mint.

if you mean the sigil key then you need to go 1 floor below that and go through the door which leads across a ramp to another tower. At the top of that tower is the keyholder guy

for anyone who hasnt done the 'retake castle kvatch' mission. I advise you all do so at the earliest oppertunity! I just did it at level 23 and the damn place is crawling with uber-daedra!! In one courtyard i had 3 Xivavili's 4 spider daedra and 2 storm atronarchs! I only survived because:

A) My character is very high level in both magic and combat B)i had a shedload of potions from some recent deep-delving. And C) My armour is enchanted to buggery for all out strength/shield combination!

I was still legging it every few swipes! Seriously tough! Dont get me wrong i have no probs with oblivion gates etc, but here the sheer volume of high level enemies is crazy! Be warned!

On a side note, i saw NO slowdown in this mission, despite the wonderful burning, crumbling ruins around me. Which makes me think its a shame there arent more battles with loads of enemies, the hardware can clearly take it within dungeouns/scenes.

Im sure you guys have all realized that most of the enemies in this game level up with you. If you take a quest at a lower level it will be easier and if you take it at a higher level it will be harder but this sometimes causes bad contrasts during missions when you meet someone who doesnt level up with you... for example in the mission to get the cure for vampirism the head vampire yo are supposed to kill is supposed to be strong compared to the others but i did the quest at a very high level and his apprentice almost killed me but i killed the master himself in 1 hit!

On the subject of Vampirism... judging by the words of a few people in this forum you dont even know how to control your vampirism... it almost sounds like you don't even know you to suck people's blood. Well heres how then... If you do not bite anyone you will become stronger but weaker against sunlight and fire and more monster-looking... when you have 100 vampirism people will refuse to even talk to you but all you have to do is sneak into someone's house in the middle of the night while they are asleep and when you creep upto them and go to activate them a sub-menu pops up asking whether you want to talk(or pickpocket if you are creeping) or feed. Once you feed on someone your vampirism will be reduced to 25- you will still have hunter's sight and +5 on most stats and you are no longer hurt by sunlight.

Just keep eating and you should be fine :D

Can anyone help me?

Ok so I joined the Theives guild, and just did the first quest (the one where you have to sell over 50g worth of stolen loot)

So I wait 'till night, rob the jewelry shop and head over to the dude who I can sell the stolen loot to, I sell it and it says well done you have sold over 50g worth of loot, so I head back to the waterfront to tell the dude who let me in the guild in the first place. he didnt mention anything about the 50g quest, but instead offered me another task of reclaiming taxes.

So what i'm asking is - have I completed the first quest?

Cheers :)

I have the same problem as you, it seems as though the 50g quest has now been handed to Ongar, ie, its a constantly ongoing quest like the arena. You can always take stolen goods to him.

Ahh that makes sense.

RE: Thiefs quest/50g gold.

Something here is amiss with what you're doing.

First quest 50g.
Second quest 100g.
Third quest 200g.

Etc.

You have to report back to the bloke (can't remember his name) at the waterside at Midnight each night for new missions, after 2 or 3 missions you'll upgrade higher in the ranks/achievements.

At about the 3rd or 4th quest, you'll be told you're higher than him and you now need to report to someone else. Each time the amount of gold you need to steel goes up (up to 1000g).

Remember, in order to achieve the quest 'properly', you ONLY sell items with a red hand (indicating they are stolen). If you find a necklace worth 500g in a chest and you sell this then you have NOT done the quest.
