Kainz, although i'd raided that cave for the quest prior to doing the quest i still found the body? I thought that was the bug? Or doesn't it happen to everybody who does that?

The best way to get more magicka is to choose a star sign/race that gives you a boost at the start. Unfortunately it seems quite hard to build it up properly otherwise.

Yeah i have noticed that and i am 64hrs in now and don't really want to start this from scratch tbh. I did start a game as a Brekon and has great magicka from start but doing all previous stuff again would be a real pain.

Not sure about that one. I killed that paranoid guy in Skingrad (can't remember his name - the one that thought everyone was following him) about 10 hours into the game, and he's still laying there next to the church 120 gaming hours later!!!

Surley someone would have noticed & buried him by now!!

Won't the doom stones let you change star signs?

Really?

i wanna change, i chose Shadow cos of invisibilty but i found Jonu's stone or something which gives me 120 secs of invis and other stuff, so worthless now

Doomstones don't change your star sign, they just give you additional powers (and finding a new doomstone basically overwrites the powers you got from the previous stone).

If you raided the cave before you undertook the quest then theres a chance the target won't be there. I've now got another quest also bugged in the same way, where I have to find a person who has gone missing in a cave, except he's not there :(

Not sure if you're registered at xbox.com's forums, but here's one of many threads regarding the bugged quest and almost all of us raided the cave beforehand...

Anyone know how to easily defeat the ghost/ bodyguards in the anvil manorhouse, one hit from him wipes me out and its proving a pain :/

Any particular weapons I can buy that work well, and also were do I get my magic weapons charged ?

Cheers :)

Silver weapons are best, but just get your mitts on the best silver weap you can find and swipe away while running around the house benny hill style. There's a recharger npc who can be found in most mage shops, however they're expensive...

The best way to charge items is to stuff a couple of soulstones in your inventory. Get yourself a soul trap spell, cast it on a baddy and then kill him. This will charge up your soulstone upto a certain amount and you can then use that stone to recharge an item of your choice. Since souldstones are found all over the place, I find it of great benefit.

Where is the key for the first oblivion gate in kvatch? Its driving me mad, I have been everywhere, just fed up with it now.

SPOILER!!!!!

Top of the highest tower, you get the key to the door leading to it from killing the guard next to the bloke in the cage then go back to the big tower to as high as possible, use the key on the door and go up another level to the sigil stone and press use on it and voila

Just dinged lv 20 after abit of a break from the game and I now have quite a few different enemies in the dungeons. Skeletal champions, minotaur lords and the worst of the lot, wraths..... which scare the crap out of me lol

Yup, theres a point around the early lv20's where the world around you sorta upgrades itself. You'll spot enemies (e.g bandits) with newer armour, and new enemies in the oblivion wastelands. This is the point where you'll rake in the cash from dungeon armour/weap loot.

Nah, thats quite good :) I was lv4 after one week lol. Never noticed the difficulty slider which was all the way to the left :p

cool, ive got a bit better at combat now, can handle 1-3 enemies ok, anything more and i have to run away and rest :D need my restoration skill higher so i can use "heal major wounds" think its that one, or maybe i need more magika <shrug> something like that.

I was reading about people making Armour like 100% chameleon to make things easier, tempted to do it myself, any ideas how, and whats the best armour to use?

Well i started to get very bored with this, so over the last few days i decided to do the main quest, and despite being frustrating in some places (like trying to protect people when they run infront of you and you end up belting them instead) it was very good.

Will continue with the Guild Quests now

Depends on whether you're using light or heavy armour. If you're using light glass is the best, Daedric for heavy, but you're best not enchanting armour at all. For full chameleon you're best using the lightest clothes you can find, after all they can't hit you if they can't see you.

To create a chameleon suit you need three things (other then clothes & rings/armour), access to the Arcane University (or the mages tower d/l), 5 Grand soul gems & finally have learned the chameleon spell (bought from either Borissean or Gasper Stegine in the university or Ita Rienus in Bravil). Once you've learned the spell you can enchant an item with 20% chameleon if you use the Grand gem, I chose a robe, shoes, 2 rings & an amulet, but it's up to you what to enchant.

A word of warning, using 100% chameleon can spoil the game, but it can also be a handy insurance policy if you don't rely on it.
