I used to play it a lot on the DC too before i had a PC powerful enough to run it well :)

It was actually quite easy to play on the DC controller but much better with keyboard and mouse, looked nice too, it was a shame about the maximum of 4 players though :(
 
Helrich: so i was at the diner this morning, and i was really hungry.
Helrich: i got a big plate of scrambled eggs and started eating them super fast
Helrich: when i stopped to breathe, half the plate was gone and i shouted DOMINATING!!!
Helrich: everyone in the diner stopped what they were doing and stared at me for along time until someone from across the room shouted HUMILIATION!!!
Helrich: I gotta stop playing Quake.

Haha I love the quake sounds, nothing makes me feel more at home than

"QUAD DAMAGE!!!!"

My other favourites are: "Humiliation, Dominating, 2 Frags in 2 seconds, Excellent" :)

Didn't get much of a game last night but if anyone is up for tonight then I will be on at some point I'm sure.

Do you play quakelive kroots or have you signed up? If so whats your username!?

I don't, loved quake 2 (railgun king!) but never got into Q3 no matter how hard I tried, and defected to UT from then onwards.
 
One of my friends yesterday took me for a game of instagib.

Being a DM veteran and having never played instagib I got completley schooled, however, was good fun and very fast paced. Only annoying this is the one shot kill over and over again. It would teach you to aim fast and be accurate with your shot or die trying :)
 
No idea what happened there mate, I was playing and the DM server I was on went a bit wierd. Oh well, gotta go eat now but maybe on in a few hours for another game!
 
Yeah mate QuakeLive is going through an update ... servers down.....

I have done this now for you mate and will add you tongiht.

Was a little dissapointed last night, just getting into the swing and cut off. I went and played L4D for a while and came back and tried about 10:10 but still wasn't on :(

From the looks of what you guys have said it's all back on now and with stats too!! Awesome!

I noticed the past 2-3 evenings there has been no queue for me and I just join straight in - wonder if that's because the initial hype is dying down?
