** Official OcUK RIFT Guild **

I was a rogue DPS in beta and will be a rogue DPS at release so dont worry about that :P

And reduced the width hope its better.

How did you find it?
Always loved playing rogue-a-like classes in games ever since my gnome days of wow :P

Played a cleric and wasn't really thrilled tbh :(

Interested.

What will the Guild be called? I'd be a bit dubious if it actually has OcUK in the name. No doubt we'll get people saying "lol ocuk are overpriced ****", which of course isn't true, but I wouldn't want people I'm playing with associating me with a website.

Also will the Guild only be for OCUK members? I think that may be kind of limiting if there isn't much interest on here.

A good idea may be that we are mainly OCUK members but are an open guild also. I like the thought of a few guys from a forum starting a guild for fun and it growing into something successful, not just with forum dudes, but accepting other people as well.

I share the same concern over the name. I played another mmo years ago and was in an "OcUK" guild and people thought i worked for them. I got a bit fed up with the comments tbh. I'd vote for something more guildlike if possible.

I had that concern a few days ago and was going to say something but forgot, however I have set up a vote so could all members please choose what you want as the name? Thanks.

All signed up and ready for Thursday. Wife out, beer will be cold, warm up lasagne from Wednesday night and phone to silent.:D:D

Will it be a fresh install or just a patch on Thursday:confused:

I'm expecting the d/l speeds to be poor. Hopefully we'll be able to pre-load as soon as Trion upload the final build to their servers. Otherwise Thursday is going to be a looongg day.

If they release it on Thursday I will be very disappointed as it will allow the people with the best internet speeds to have an advantage, which isn't really fair.

I'm fully expecting to have to wait until Friday before I start, that way it's a surprise if we're allowed to download early and not disappointing if we can't :)

It all depends when they decide on a final build. They're only obliged by the pre-order headstart thing to have the game servers up and running on Thursday. Sure they could pre-pre-release the client, but they can leave it until Thursday 6pm if they want.

In an MMO where it takes you ages to get to 50 (where it matters) anyway, what difference does a couple of hours make? Really?

Sorry. Are we not allowed to be excited?

It obviously doesn't make any effective difference. But when you're looking forward to something, it's nice if it comes a bit early.

Look again at my quote, he is complaining about it giving people an unfair advantage.

Did you play Aion at launch? They had one starting area for each race and there were MASSIVE queues and when you did get in there were far too many people around to do any quests. It took me about 4 days to get to a level that most of my guild had got to within the first hour or two.

So by giving people with better connections the advantage you are allowing them to avoid the massive queues and be able to clear the starting areas long before everybody else. So although it may not seem like that much it could give them a 3-4 day advantage over those with poorer connections, which is quite unfair.
