**Official Portal 2 thread**

On steam now the price has changed and if you pre-order it you get 20% off, thats bull**** I pre-ordered early and only got 10% off yet people who waited are now going to get 20%, totally unfair

I paid £220 for my 6950 and now it's under £200. It's not unfair as you agreed to the price you pay at the time of purchase therefore you must have been happy to pay it.

Yeah that's different when a product is on the marketplace. If Steam chose to increase the pre-order discount then I'd be chucking a wobbly as well.

I was planning on waiting till it was out/prices were lower, but i don't have anything to do this weekend and I might have to preorder it in case it turns out only preoders can play it early (if early at all).:eek::D

I understand the frustration as I also pre-ordered for £27.99. Maybe Valve will refund us in some way as it does seem a bit unfair.

Yes but the 10% off was meant to be an incentive to buy early, why should I be a loyal customer and guarantee my advance purchase of their game before I have had a chance to read reviews or check what prices it will be elsewhere if I am not going to get a better deal than the people who wait?

So this is preloading now? Sweet gonna have to get the PC turned on ASAP! :)

Yup! Almost 10Gb.

I'm not sure what you are complaining about? The game is still 10%, the double pack is 20%, it's been like this for a while.

If you want to wait for reviews, then wait?

It's -20% 23.99 for me. Although it still says 10% on the Store homepage.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/620/

That still shows 10%. Got a link to the -20% 23.99?

That link shows me 10% however if I look through the Steam client I get 20%.

Edit: It's 10% when I am logged out. 20% in.

You do actually get it for £23.99 if you buy it with the Potato Sack as that costs £27.22. Other than i've no idea what you're talking about.

See my screenshot. I can pre-order on it's own for £23.99. I already did when it was 10% off however.

Perhaps it recognises that you already have it and hence if you want to buy it for a friend you can get it for the 20% off that you would with a two-pack purchase?

It's still 10% for me btw.
