Can you connect this to your PC by plugging in the charging dock via USB with the headset connected? Or can you only use it on your PC using Bluetooth?

If you plug in the dock it just charges the device, if you plug in the headset it recognises it as a new device but i cant find any drivers,

It is a standard Bluetooth headset so you need bluetooth on your machine I have tested on 2 pcs and it works fine on them. Does your machine not have Bluetooth on it?

Nah it doesn't, I could buy a dongle but it's no big issue, it'd be pretty cool to have been talking on ventrilo while sat on the sofa or so though as I can't really play my console games while talking on the PC.

From experience it works fine with a USB blue tooth dongle in ventrillo, the sound quality is surprisingly good too (considering the 'HD' feature boasted about on the box isn't available on the PC), it also works with mobile phones as a hands-free kit, though if you have the guts to venture outside wearing it you're a braver man than I.

Be warned you have to re-pair it with the PS3 after you've paired it with another device, this only takes 1/2 a second though as you simple need to plug it into the PS3 via USB and it's done.

This is not true. I have mine paired to my PS3 and my Apple laptop. I have just played some Resistance 2 with headset. I have turned it off and now can listen to some music through it on my laptop. Now disabled the bluetooth on laptop and turned PS3 on again and connected to it. No re-pairing or USB stuff required.

Possible problem on your computer? (I know the wireless keypad is a BT device that only pairs with one machine at a time, are you thinking of that?).

No i'm just being thick, i forgot to turn off 'automatically allow connections' on my PC and it appears it pairs with that quicker than my PS3 so my PS3 didn't get a look in. Now i've disabled it it can indeed connect to the PS3 again without re-pairing it. Cheers for the headsup.

I’m having problems getting this working on my PC – it is showing in Bluetooth Devices, and shows a connection time etc, I even have “Bluetooth Radios” in device manager and under that the options for Generic Bluetooth Radio and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator.

The issue is that I do not have the hardware listed on any tab within Sounds and Audio Devices, so I can’t set it as a mic.

Any thoughts guys? I’m running XPSP3 by the way.

Scort.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but can anyone enlighten me as to where I can buy one of these for a reasonable price. They seem to be sold out everywhere and the places which do have them in stock are ridiculously priced.

its best to get it with socom confrontation

can be had around £32 ish new and sell the game if its not your kind of thing

theres no point picking up a used one from auction eeeewww

you just need to keep checking mate, you literally just missed the last batch that i saw. they were in stock at 2 big online game retailers (both owned by the same company i believe) and there were sold out within a few days

best way i guess if you're desperate is to buy at auction but you'll be paying over the odds for it.

Personally I'd go for the Endwar pack.

Better game IMO and can be had for ~£30.

I got mine from a local large electrical retailer on a retail park when it was sold out everywhere on the net/games shops. Had only popped in to look at TVs I wish I could afford and I saw it. Was the standard £19.99 as well.

It's worth a try because a lot of people probably wouldnt think to look there, so they might just have one knocking around?

I bought a Motorola one (think it's the H385) from a high street phone store for a tenner (half price, on sale) and it works spot on. Really clear.

End War with headset for £18 delivered was a good deal on Tuesday just gone. Stock of it sold out by the afternoon and no more orders can be placed.

That is a good deal as the game goes for £15.

Just checked online and it's easily found for £29.99 but that extra £12 would eat away at me if I was buying it now.:p
