Thought it was a good idea to create this thread for all PS3 problems this isn’t a bashing thread it a place where people can discuss problems with there PS3s and try to find solutions

Should also give us some kind of acid test against the 360 and the problems it’s had with reliability.

Only problem i have had so far was a online game of Motorstorm crashing.

It happened to theboyrob too at the same time so it might have been a server problem that caused it.

:)

Not really a problem per say, but I have noticed when playing Motorstorm, I have noticed it going sluggish for a few seconds ocassionally.

I think it was in mudpool, with bikes/quads and a single big rig.

Only prob i have is sometimes at random i keep getting disconected from PSN more so when im idle do nothing

Sometimes it happens within 30 secs of me doing nothing sometimes it will take an hour. Anyone else getting this prob? i am conected via wireless

Apart from that its all good :)

Keeps me logged in when idle (though it hasn't been idle for long periods of time though :p ).

it has wireless and a bluray drive but i dont want those things !

haha seriously though ours seems to be fine so far . /touches wood

Had a slightly odd problem when setting up the WEP key on my brother's PS3. Each time we entered the alpha-numeric value it kept telling us it expected a hex value - wtf! After several attempts it accepted the same key we'd been trying over and over.

Leading on from that I wish I had a keyboard to hand when doing all that :)

Only problem I've had is not being able to connect to the Folding@Home servers since I've got it, pretty sure its my end now as no one else seems to be having any problems

Iv been messing around with some router settings last night and the console has been on all night Folding@home and it was still conected when i got up :)

I havent had any problems so far - unless background d/l not working during sd dvd playback (or br playback) is a problem

Why do some of you keep an idle connection open to PSN? After all especially this weekend lots of people are buying the console and wishing to update and d/l stuff and you are hogging a connection

Apart from that either you want something and thereby queue it to dl along with anything else or just leave surely?

I dont think keeping your PSN in idle is hogging bandwith to the entire network tbh and making everyones downloads going slow.
