My answers:

1. Hull KR.

2. Probably beating Huddersfield, Leeds and Warrington at home, along with 3 wins over Saints, albeit they knocked us out when it really counted!

3. Hard to say at the moment, but I think we have signed well and have a good pack.

4. Kris Keating, you don't guide a team to the NRL Grand Final without a being a good player so I am REALLY looking forwards to seeing him play. Of course he has some massive shoes to fill with the departure of Dobson to the NRL. Michael Weyman, J Walker and Langley are also some really great signings. Although not a new signing, I really am looking forwards to seeing Eden play again. He was magnificent last year.

5. Tough one to call. Wigan and Warrington have lost a few influential players but I still expect them to be up there. Saints have a good shot this year too.

6. Dare I say it...Salford? They have signed well, but will it be enough, will they gel quickly enough?

7. 3 new directors on board that are able to help support the club better financially and increase revenues given the new north stand (yes its open now!). There are also plans in the pipeline for a south stand too, possible with hotel. RL doesn't bring in massive income so other streams are required to support the club. Bit more investment in medical facilities and rehab staff which should help a lot as we have suffered massively with injuries lately.

8. Target should definitely be 6th.

9. The backs haven't changed much, we've lost Micky Paea, arguably the standout prop in the SL last year. Also we have lost Dobbo which is a big loss, but I think we have more than replaced with an experienced half in Kris Keating.

10. Personally I think we can do much better than the 9th place that the bookies have put us down at. Maybe fan bias but I really think we have one of the best squads that we have had for a long time, with a lot more strength in depth with the likes of Poore, Cockayne, Costigan and Larroyer.

11.

1. Dixon
2. Sio
3. Goulding
4. Blair
5. Mantellato
6. Campese
7. Kelly
8. Weyman
9. Boudebza
10. Allgood
11. Larroyer
12. McCarthy
13. Burke

Subs: Green, Donaldson, Bailey, Cockayne

Hi

1. Your team? - Wigan
2. Your highlight of last season? - 2nd half of Grand Final
3. Your expectations this season? - Top 4 and see what happens from there
4. Your most anticipated new signings? - Matt Bowen. If he can stay fit he should score a few tries
5. Who you think will win the league leaders shield? - Warrington, but seriously - who cares?
6. Who will be the dark horses of the competition? - Not really dark horses, but Saints will be a force again
7. Any updates from your club, new ground etc? - The worst home kit in SL
8. Final league position of your club? - Top 4
9. What (or who) will be your clubs weakness next year? - The loss of Pat Richards. His goal kicking swung a few close games and there isn't a reliable replacement. Having said that, its worth remembering that he wasn't a goal kicker when he arrived over here (and was absolutely gash in his first season)
10. Here's what the bookies think, is it fair on your team? - Difficult to split their top 4. Huddersfield look generous at 6/1

It of course goes without saying that Wigan were a better team with Tomkins in it. Without fail, he tore Rovers apart whenever he played against us. He will also be a big loss next year?

1. Your team?
LEEDSLEEDSLEEDS

2. Your highlight of last season?
Hmm, I guess it would be our performance in the league. Top 4 makes a nice change from finishing 5th. Manchester Magic Weekend was a great weekend too. Always is. Won't be there this year however, got a stag do on the same weekend.

3. Your expectations this season?
Would like to finally see Sir Kev lift the Challenge Cup! I'd like us to also build on our domestic performance from last season and finish in the top 2.

4. Your most anticipated new signings?
Gotta be Aiton I think. Finally a solid hooker, first one that we've had since Buderus left. Hopefully McDonut will give him the game time he needs. Looked good on Boxing Day so I hear.

5. Who you think will win the league leaders shield?
I fancy Huddersfield again, Broughton is a great signing on the wing for them.

6. Who will be the dark horses of the competition?
Hm, as above. Maybe Salford, perhaps they'll need a season or two to 'gel' (by which time all their signings will be retiring :p)

7. Any updates from your club, new ground etc?
Not specifically the club I don't think other than Keinhorst is out to Wakey on loan, can be recalled though. I also got a nice discount card for some of the bars in Headingley which will be getting utilized when I hit the home games!

8. Final league position of your club?
1st!!!!!

9. What (or who) will be your clubs weakness next year?
Wigan/Wire.

10. Here's what the bookies think, is it fair on your team?
Pretty fair, I always think SL odds are pretty boring when it comes to looking for a value bet.

Wigan will miss Tomkins. He was the sort of player who turns up once every 10 years or so. BUT I think the club have replaced him pretty well with Bowen. The plan is to give Hampshire more game time before Bowen's knees finally collapse.

I'm not convinced about Tomkins in the NRL (and NZ in particular). It wouldn't surprise me to see him back over here playing RU in the next 18 months (for the <ahem> 'challenge' £)

Just noticed on the Sky Sports website that they have switched the Rugby League coverage from Saturdays to Thursdays! Bit annoyed about this as I am likely to miss the Thursday games. Gutted.

Im new to this sport so don't laugh but:

1. Your team?
St Helens

2. Your highlight of last season?
This was my first year following. Attended a lot of loses and just one win. Highlight was either winning at home to Wigan (what a drop goal by pat richards) or losing the play off game vs leeds away which was so close.

3. Your expectations this season?
Think it will be a much better season for the saints this time round. should be there or thereabouts.

4. Your most anticipated new signings?
Mose Masoe.

5. Who you think will win the league leaders shield?
Huddersfield

6. Who will be the dark horses of the competition?
Salford but only cos they'll be 'most improved'

7. Any updates from your club, new ground etc?
Um no.

8. Final league position of your club?
3rd

9. What (or who) will be your clubs weakness next year?
Conversions

10. Here's what the bookies think, is it fair on your team?
Fair

Didn't they start doing this last season too? I personally don't mind it, won't be able to make most of the games too but feels like the weekend is starting early :D

1. Your team? Warrington Wolves

2. Your highlight of last season? First half of the Grand Final........

3. Your expectations this season? Compete well in the challenge cup, finally win a Grand Final!!

4. Your most anticipated new signings? Roy Asotasi and Matty Russell should add a bit of biff and a bit of flair to the back line.

5. Who you think will win the league leaders shield? Us

6. Who will be the dark horses of the competition? Salford without a doubt!

7. Any updates from your club, new ground etc? Lee Briers has finally ****** off!!! Yay!!

8. Final league position of your club? 2nd

9. What (or who) will be your clubs weakness next year? Moving on from the Morley/Carvell era might take a few games to get over and for the forwards to gel. Also the move of Ratchford into 6 to replace Briers may take a few games, though it is a step forward for us a club.

10. Here's what the bookies think, is it fair on your team? About right, though I think Huddersfield should have better odds than that!

Remind me again who will play at full back for the Wolves next season?

less of that this year please

No guarantees! ;)

I just don't get it at all. Keep last seasons format, top 5 play-off, promotion and relegation introduced. Job done?

Agreed. This to me seemed like the best approach. Maybe their thinking is trying to integrate the lower leagues a little more, therefore helping the sport to expand a bit more if the teams further down the pecking order have something more attainable to gain.
