Some of you, like me, will absolutely love Supreme Commander Forged Alliance Forever, & still play it every day.

Looks like Sanctuary its getting closer to release date, and it looks amazing, check out the trailer just dropped:

Oh wow didn't know anything about this. I use to play supreme commander , few years back had to download a fan made client to get servers. Thanks !
 
been keeping an eye on this and looking forward to it.
one of the Devs is an active dev for FAF, well to be fair a few of the faf devs are working on this in hopes they can do the things they cant do in FAF

if it pans out i can see a jump in next level for the next gen games, but i was hoping for the same wih Planetary Annihilation but didnt quiet pan out.

Yeah totally agree, although to me it was easy to see Planetary Annihilation was rubbish just looking at it, I already hated the screen shots let alone the game play, I have no idea why they thought fighting on a tiny planet that was a good idea, it just looked and played awful, it wasn't a battle field, it was fighting on a ping pong ball :confused:


Just looking at how this plays in the previews seems very SCFAF like, I get the impression I think they know they need to basically match the game play and just up the graphics and add actually good features (like destroyable landscapes and weather)
 
Yeh the gameplay could be a complete clone of Supreme Commander, but with updated performance and graphics so it uses multi-core processors properly and it would be a buy from me. New content is just a plus.
Planetary Annihilation was ok, but just didn't work as well as SC. As mentioned above, the planets were too small, and it just felt like a race to launch a moon into another planet to win the game from my experiences! It never had the epic battles of SC.
 
I am really excited about this. I still play FAF occasionally and watch Gyle cast games on Youtube. Would be great if they can land a proper spiritual successor!

sadly don think its a demo, but we'll see.
been doing regular vlogs and media so seems good.

but never seemed to havelaunched.

i feel the landscape effects are more a gimick for the game. an interesting one sure but i can see it being short lived and easily countered if its a one of. you artifically blow it asap. then a tactical advantage/dis-advantage is removed from play.
