“I’ve fallen and I can’t get up”
See my reply above. I fell, I couldn’t get up. My watch popped up saying I’d fallen and offered to call for help.

I managed to tap the button that said I’m OK and then laid there, unable to move. I had to wait until a car stopped.

I should have let it call for help. It’s a really good feature that you hope you’ll never need.

For the last two or three years, the iPhone price has stayed roughly the same, in fact I think it's effectively dropped due to the base memory increasing.

Last year I paid £1149 for an iPhone 13 Pro Max with 256Gb. The iPhone 12 Pro Max in 2020 was more expensive at £1199.
This year it's £1309.

Last year I paid £649 for a SS Apple Watch with a sport loop.
This year it's £779 (and the sport loop isn't listed any more).
The Ultra is £849.

Still, I don't think a new apple device would be top of the list of things you must get if things are that tight. Sorry for singling you out, but this kind of crap drives me up the wall. It's like "O I can't afford heating" - O hey guys check out my new iPhone and other over priced *****"
I think you're misunderstanding my enthusiasm for something I've already said I'm not going to buy and have voted as such in each poll.

No reason for my actions or inactions to drive you up the wall.

Always on Display is enough to make me change over, wanted it for ages. :)
Personally it would be the first feature I’d turn off.
I'll be really interesting to know what difference it makes to battery life. On the iPhone, it's quite noticeable, despite it only having a 1Hz refresh rate in AOD mode.
